Good Morning Pennsylvania, and welcome to Tuesday, May 5, where the state has decided to dress like three different seasons got into an argument in the Sheetz parking lot. Philly and southeast PA are heading straight into “why is my steering wheel hot already” territory, with highs pushing the mid to upper 80s like it’s trying to skip spring and charge us summer rent. Harrisburg, Lancaster, York, and the Lehigh Valley are also getting warm and breezy enough to make everybody question the hoodie they wore out of habit. Central PA hangs in the upper 70s, which sounds pleasant until the wind starts acting like it has somewhere to be. Western PA gets more clouds and a possible afternoon thunderstorm, because Pittsburgh apparently looked at sunshine and said, “No thanks, we already made other plans.” Erie, meanwhile, gets rain and cooler temps, because Lake Erie never misses a chance to be the weird cousin at the family picnic. By evening, most of us will be warm, windblown, mildly confused, and pretending we did not just complain about winter two weeks ago.
