46 years of the Oldies But Goodies Drags `n Show will be celebrated this weekend at Firebird. Time trials start at 8:30 am, show `n shine at 9 am, and first round of racing at 1:30 pm on Saturday.

Sharing a few teaser images from the A/FX class racers who love to do giant burnouts and big wheelstands, something all of us really love to watch.

A/FX is such a cool class. A number of them are out testing on this fine Friday. The pits are packed with lots of the muscle cars from the 60's gearing up for the big Oldies weekend.

We look forward to the return of the 46th Annual Oldies But Goodies Drags and Show presented by Project Filter this weekend at Firebird.

One of the Northwest’s favorite nostalgia traditions will once again feature vintage drag racing, hot rods, classics, street macines, trucks, customs, show ’n shine entries and plenty of old school fun throughout the weekend.

From the quarter-mile to the show in the upper pit area, the Oldies But Goodies continues to celebrate the sights, sounds and spirit of grassroots hot rodding.

We’ll see you at the track.

A/FX machines brought plenty of excitement to last year’s Oldies But Goodies Drags presented by Project Filter.

We’re sharing a reel featuring several of the vintage Ford, Chevy and Mopar combinations that battled it out during the nostalgic drag racing weekend on the quarter-mile.

These old school factory experimental-style cars always deliver a great show — and we’re looking forward to seeing them back at Firebird this weekend, May 30-31. Best of all, every race `n show entry receives a complimentary Oldies t-shirt.

This Memorial Day weekend 🇺🇸 - Firebird honors and remembers the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

We pause to reflect on their sacrifice, courage and dedication to freedom.

We remember. We honor. We give thanks.

We’re excited to unveil the 2026 Motorsports Annual.

Packed with 108 pages of colorful images, event highlights and nearly 200 sensational photographs, this year’s edition once again captures the people, cars and memories that make Firebird special. We’re sharing a sneak peek at several pages from the newest issue.

You can pick up a copy the next time you visit the raceway.

A special thank you goes out to Bill Bozman for his outstanding design work, Caxton for their quality printing, and all of the talented photographers who contributed to this year’s publication. Tip of the hat as well to Larry Pfister for capturing the incredible Fuel Altered cover image of Vince Karstetter’s “Cherry Bomb.”

This edition also marks the 52nd consecutive year of Firebird producing a seasonal publication — and we’re proud to share a few of the early program covers from the raceway’s formative years.

Firebird continues to elevate all aspects of our Safety Team operations.

Most recently, Scott Major from the Safety Safari hosted an SFI training seminar for many members of Firebird’s safety crew. The full-day course featured classroom instruction along with hands-on training covering everything from driver extrication and fire response to track cleanup and numerous other safety procedures.

A big thank you goes out to everyone who participated in the training and helped make the day a success.

We also want to express our appreciation to longtime Safety Team supporters including Lasasco, Dan Davis Racing, Petty Family Racing, the DuBose family/Charlie’s Service Center, Rocky Mtn. Towing and many others who have contributed to Firebird’s safety operation throughout the years.

At Firebird, safety will always remain priority one.

Join with us in wishing Bradley James New, youngest of the New brothers — HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

To celebrate the day, we dug deep into the family scrapbook for this early 1970’s photo featuring Brad being held by Ellanor, John, neighbor Richie, and Scott gathered in front of the family Pontiac GTO.

Happy Birthday, Brad — hope it’s a great one!

It is quite a rare feat to win two classes at one event by two racers on the same team. But the story becomes even more remarkable when the accomplishment is shared by a father and son. At this year’s Ignitor, two families celebrated double victories at Firebird’s longest running event.

We share post-race interviews with Mark and Rayce Kidd (Super Pro and Super Comp winners) and Art and Brandon Hoover (Super Street and Top Dragster champions) following their victories at the 55th Ignitor, along with footage from both final rounds on our Firebird YouTube channel at:

🎥 Hoover family - https://youtu.be/QfW98tNaPis

Proof once again that families that race together, stay together.
