You change the engine oil every few thousand miles. When did you last service the shocks?

Plenty of trucks are running 40,000, 50,000, even 60,000 miles on a set of premium shocks that have never been opened. Oil breaks down, seals wear, and performance fades so gradually that you do not notice how much is gone until the shocks come back fresh.

Servicing performance suspension is what the ToyTec rebuild department does all day. Standard rebuilds run $160 to $270 per shock depending on brand and size, a small number next to what the suspension cost to put on the truck.

Protect the investment. Bring the shocks to the Denver shop or ship them in.

Worn shocks do not fail overnight. That is the problem.

Unlike a flat tire, the decline is gradual. Your body adapts to the softer ride and the extra body roll, so it is easy to miss how much performance has slipped. Meanwhile the seals, oil, and internals keep wearing with every mile.

Inside the ToyTec shop, King coilovers and Fox shocks come off the truck, get torn down and inspected, and go back together with new seals, fresh oil, and a proper nitrogen charge. In-house, in Denver, by a department that does this all day.

Drop-off rebuilds typically take 2 to 3 days depending on workload, or book a full-service appointment and let the shop handle removal and install.

Feels blown. Probably just overdue.

High-end rebuildable shocks were never meant to be installed and forgotten. The oil degrades, the seals fatigue, and the ride quality and control you paid for slip away a little at a time. By the time the truck feels harsh or loose, the shock is usually not broken. It is due.

Most aftermarket race-style shocks need service every 20,000 to 25,000 miles depending on use, even when they are not leaking. Teardown, inspection, new wear items, fresh oil, and a proper recharge, and the shock performs the way it was built to.

Before you write off your suspension, let ToyTec look at what you already have. Drop the shocks off in Denver or ship them in.

Carli suspension on a Super Duty is a serious investment. Maintenance is what protects it.

This truck came in for a rebuild on its Carli 2.5 King shocks. Premium suspension is built to be serviced, not replaced. Over time the oil breaks down, seals wear, and the ride slowly drifts away from how it felt when the setup was fresh. You adapt to it without noticing.

A rebuild means full disassembly, inspection of every component, new seals and wear parts, fresh oil, and a nitrogen recharge back to spec. The system goes back to performing the way King designed it, for about half the price of a new set.

King, Fox, ICON, or any other rebuildable shock: bring the truck in or ship the shocks to the shop.
