I recently helped out a local Aaron’s store with their Isuzu NPR box truck after they experienced a dead battery.

After replacing the battery, I performed a complete battery and charging system test to make sure everything was operating properly.

This Ford F-150 received some much-needed attention with an extensive suspension, steering, and brake overhaul! 💪

After years of wear and tear, suspension and steering components can develop excessive play, affect handling, and cause uneven tire wear.

🚨 SHREDDED BELT LEAVES FORD E-350 BOX TRUCK DOWN! 🔧🚚

Another commercial vehicle back on the road thanks to Shift Happens Mobile Mechanic!

I responded to a customer with a Ford E-350 box truck that wouldn’t stay running.

After inspecting the vehicle, I discovered multiple issues:

🔧 Battery completely discharged – Testing revealed the battery had only 1.4 volts!

🔧 Severely damaged serpentine belt – The old belt had completely shredded, wrapping itself around multiple engine components and pulleys.

🔧 Charging system compromised – With the belt destroyed, the alternator could no longer be driven to maintain battery voltage.

I removed the tangled remains of the old belt, installed a new serpentine belt, and replaced the battery to get this box truck back in service! 💪

Had the opportunity to work on this beautiful 1978 Chevrolet Corvette C3 and get its fuel system squared away right at the customer’s location.

This one received:

⛽ New fuel tank
🔧 New fuel hoses
⚙️ Ignition timing adjustment
✅ Fuel system reassembled and checked for proper operation

2015 FORD F-150 — BATTERY DIAG + REAR BRAKES 🔧

We came to this F-150 after the customer was told by the dealership that it needed an alternator because the truck wouldn’t start.

After testing the charging and starting system, we found the alternator wasn’t the problem — the battery was. A new battery got the truck starting like it should without replacing parts it didn’t need. 💪

While we were there, we also took care of the rear brake pads. The old pads were worn down and ready for replacement, so we installed a fresh set, cleaned and lubricated the necessary contact points and slide pins, and got everything back together.

Sometimes a proper diagnosis can save you from spending money on parts you don’t need.

We came across this Volvo 780 sitting on the side of the highway and stopped to offer some help. What started as a fuel-related issue quickly showed why staying ahead of maintenance on a working truck matters.

The fuel/water separator was heavily contaminated with sludge and debris, and while inspecting the truck we found several other components that were worn, damaged, loose, or in need of further attention.

2015 FORD F-150 COOLANT LEAK REPAIR 🔧💧

Another F-150 back on the road!

This 2015 Ford F-150 had developed a coolant leak from the heater hose assembly, right at one of the factory plastic fittings — a common failure point as these fittings age and become brittle.

Instead of replacing it with another hose using the same style plastic connections, we installed an upgraded heater hose assembly featuring metal fittings and removable/serviceable hose sections. 💪

🚌 MOBILE BUS BRAKE REPAIR 🔧

Got this Blue Bird bus taken care of with an on-site brake repair!

The rear brake lines and fittings were in need of replacement, so we removed the old setup and replaced it with new rear brake lines, hoses, fittings, and a new 3-way fitting, then bled the brake system and checked everything over for proper operation.

No towing. No trying to get a bus into a repair shop. We brought the repair directly to the customer. 💪
