These vehicles are NOT ICE agent units.

UNIT 117 IS BACK ON THE ROAD

There are some patrol vehicles that come with a story. Unit 117 is one of them.

Yesterday, we picked up Unit 117 from Classic Collision, repaired, looking as good as new, and ready to get back to work protecting the citizens of Grayson County.

This is the same patrol Tahoe Deputy Travis Lynn was driving when he encountered a suspected intoxicated driver traveling the wrong way on Highway 82, directly into oncoming traffic. Deputy Lynn placed himself and Unit 117 in harm’s way to stop that vehicle and help prevent what could have been a devastating head-on collision.

The Tahoe took the damage that day. More importantly, innocent motorists were protected.

After some time in the shop, Unit 117 is looking a little different than the last time many of you saw it, with an SUV attached to the front.

And we can confirm one thing: Deputy Lynn is pretty happy to have his Tahoe back.

Our thanks to Classic Collision for getting Unit 117 repaired and ready to return to service.
