2004 Ford GT Prototype

As some of you remember there were 3 centennial cars (Red, White, & Blue) that were finished in May of 2003 and displayed to the public for the 100th year anniversary of Ford.

Job-3, the blue one, was later converted to a heritage paint scheme for marketing reasons (as it’s cheaper to do that than build another car).

23 years later it needed to be converted back to Midnight blue so it can be shown with the other two centennial cars at The Peterson Museum.

Enjoy the photos, spot some differences compared to production cars, and check out the green wire underneath the trunk. That was a piece of construction wire from the Saleen building being built at the time I ripped out of a wall 23 years ago to make it run at a last second request. Still there! 😁

Not seen often - A workhorse (test-mule) headlight, CP (confirmation-prototype) headlight, & a production headlight.
