First Aid Auto Care

First Aid Auto Care Founded in 2025, First Aid Auto Care LLC is a small independently owned full service auto repair shop I am a 12 veteran of the Auto Repair industry.

I Trained at Sinclair Community College Automotive Program where I earned a Comprehensive Certificate of Automotive Technology in 2014. I became ASE Certified in 2017, Recertified in 2022. I definitely paid my dues working in several different repair shops and dealerships to get where I am with my skill level today. I get upset when I see people get mislead and mistreated by the bigger corporate c

hain stores. It's hard to watch their technicians just throw parts at vehicles--just guessing at solutions because they don't know how to diagnose and recommending services that are either excessive or just plain unnecessary yet. I want to create the shop of the future, with very little overhead where people can trust that I have their best interests at heart and not just that I'm trying to hit my quota for the month. This is my shot at the AMERICAN DREAM, and I want to do it right!

Soooo crazy busy in the shop lately, I haven’t had any time to post content!

Some of the recent vehicles we’ve had in the shop.

2009 Mercedes-Benz GL450-steering rack and rear parking brake cables

2009 Audi A4 water pump, thermostat housing and coolant pipe and gasket

2007 Subaru Forrester internal tire repair

I’m finally getting away for a few days. Painful to leave it all behind…

I leave it in the hands of my right and left hand men…

TEd* Talk no 1.

Today we venture further into the 5.3 LS engine on the Chevy Avalanche. After removing the camshaft we are prepping the block with brake clean and Emory cloth.

2005 Dodge Dakota pinion seal and rear drum brakes. Came in with a loud roar, left with a quiet hum, well, quieter. The loudest noise (pinion bearing and race) was drowning out the “not as loud sound” (the rear driver side wheel bearing). Still a work in progress then!

First Cylinder head job in the shop. 2005 Buick Lacrosse 3.8 L with a dead miss on cylinder 3 and another intermittent miss on 2. Has spark, has fuel, the only suspect left is air. The head bolts are torqued ready for total reassembly early this week. We’ll keep you posted!
