🚗 More Than Just a Classic Mercedes

This 1971 Mercedes-Benz SL is certainly a beautiful car, but what makes this video special to us is the person behind the wheel.

Richard and Ronnie attended trade school together and began their automotive careers around the same time this Mercedes-Benz was rolling off the assembly line.

Through the years, they built careers, friendships, and a passion for the automotive industry that helped shape what Ronnie Lee's Automotive is today.

More than five decades later, Richard is still doing what he loves and continues to be an important part of our team.

Watching him behind the wheel of a vehicle from the same era that he and Ronnie were beginning their journey in the automotive industry is a reminder of just how much history is behind both this car and our shop.

Some things change over the years. A love for great automobiles and lifelong friendships aren't among them.

We hope you enjoy this little piece of automotive history.

🔧 A Little Ronnie Lee History

Long before European vehicles became common on the Gulf Coast, Ronnie Lee was already building a reputation as the area's leading BMW technician. Beginning his BMW career in the late 1970s, he dedicated himself to mastering the engineering and technology that made these vehicles unique.

His commitment to excellence earned him BMW Master Technician certification, recognition as a BMW District Master Technician Winner, and even a trip to BMW AG in Germany as one of BMW's top technicians in the country.

But beyond the awards and accomplishments, he built this business on something even more important: integrity, hard work, continuous learning, and taking care of people.

Those values remain at the heart of Ronnie Lee's Automotive today.

We're proud to carry on the legacy he started and grateful for the customers who have trusted our family throughout the years.

Twenty-eight years.

It's hard to put into words what that really means.

For 28 years, we've had the privilege of serving this community, building relationships, and earning the trust of generations of families here on the Eastern Shore.

We've celebrated milestones with our customers, supported local organizations, watched young drivers become parents themselves, and been blessed to be a small part of so many people's stories.

This video reflects more than just the history of our business. It's a reflection of the people who have made these 28 years possible our customers, our employees, our families, and our community.
