Had a customer contact us about the brakes on their 2008 Chevy Silverado. The front brake pads had worn down too far, and one pad was completely gone, damaging the rotor and caliper on that side.

We replaced the passenger-side front rotor and caliper, installed new pads on both front wheels, and cleaned and greased the calipers. We also performed an electronic brake bleed with our scan tool and changed the brake fluid in the master cylinder, since it was in rough shape.

We recommended a few items to keep an eye on for the near future, but this Silverado is back on the road and ready to serve all your pest-control needs! Another happy customer—thanks for trusting us with your vehicle!

Had this customer bring in their 1997 GMC Suburban 4x4 with the common P1870 code, which indicates torque converter clutch slippage and it wouldn’t stay in overdrive or lockup. The vehicle had already been to a couple of shops, and they were recommending another transmission.

We replaced the TCC valve with a Fitzall one-piece billet valve and performed a fluid drain and fill with a new pan gasket. The filter had been replaced recently, so it didn’t need to be changed.

After a couple of test drives, it runs, drives, and shifts smoothly and holds the gears as it should. This is a fantastic upgrade for the 4L60E!

Get ahold of us for your repair needs, and thanks again for trusting us with your vehicle!

Had a previous customer call us earlier about their 2022 GMC L5P that had a dead battery and wouldn’t start. We grabbed our tools, picked up a replacement battery, and headed out to get them back on the road.

We found the failed battery on the passenger side, replaced it, and cleared the codes. The truck started right up with no problems!

Another happy repeat customer! Thanks for continuing to trust Grease Monkey Garage with your vehicle needs.

Had this customer drop off their 2023 Ram and 2022 Buick tonight for oil changes and a general look-over. While checking the Buick, we found some codes related to a known GM bulletin. We recommended having GM check it out for a possible warranty repair before we price the job, so we can help save them some money if it’s covered!

This 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible came to us after the timing belt broke while starting. We checked things over, and everything looked clear, so we went ahead with a timing belt kit and water pump. We also replaced the valve cover gasket, serpentine belt, and battery.

She fired right up and drives great! With only 143,000 miles, there’s plenty of life left for the owner to enjoy.

After cleaning the area, you can definitely see the teeth missing on the belt!!

We first saw this 2017 Dodge Durango almost a year ago—exactly 37,620 miles ago! It came in for a complete camshaft and lifter replacement, timing chain and gears, oil pump, and all the necessary gaskets. The owner wanted it dependable for her family, especially with kids and her busy schedule as an at-home nurse.

Since then, we’ve helped keep it going with a couple of oil changes, an A/C condenser and refrigerant service, and a new battery. Today it came in with a failing starter. We got it replaced, and it’s ready to hit the road for many more miles!

Had this customer bring in a 2013 Chevy Express 3500 for a long list of repairs and maintenance. We turned the front and rear rotors and installed new brake pads all the way around, replaced both outer tie rods and hub assemblies, and took the tires out to be mounted and balanced before having the van aligned.

We also changed the oil and filter, replaced the air filter, headlight pigtails, spark plugs and ignition wires, fixed the 12-volt outlet and license plate light, and drained and refilled the brake master cylinder.

While checking the van over, we inspected an engine noise and found it sounded like lifter noise. We let the customer know what we found, and got the rest of the requested work taken care of so the Express is ready to get back on the road.

We received a call from a customer who lost the brakes on his 2007 Ford E-450 motor home while camping. We were booked up yesterday, so we scheduled him for first thing this morning.

During inspection, we found no brake pressure and no external fluid leaks. When we activated the ABS pump with the scanner, it pushed back against the pedal, but as soon as the test ended, the pedal lost all pressure again. We diagnosed the problem as a faulty master cylinder that was internally bypassing.

We ordered the new master cylinder, returned as soon as the part arrived, installed it, and bled the brake system. The motor home now has a firm brake pedal and is ready to get back on the road!
