Global Formula Racing Oregon State University (USA) and Duale Hochschule Baden Wurttemberg Ravensburg (GER) are Global Formula Racing. Founded in 2010

GFR is the first international collaborative team to compete within Formula SAE (US) and Formula Student (EU) competitions. Students at Oregon State (US) and DHBW-Ravensburg (GER) officially combined their racing programs in February 2010.

Our US Rollout was this Thursday, where the team, friends, family, and sponsors gathered for the unveiling of GFR's latest vehicle iteration. Following a presentation from our advisors and leads, attendees were able to get a close-up look at the car and connect with the team. 🤝

We would like to especially thank Mishjacks Catering for providing dinner inspired by our upcoming competition appearances.

SAE International is the very organization that fuels GFR's competitive passions. Formula SAE 2025 captured the essence of what an entire season on an FSAE team amounts to; from rigorous technical inspections, challenging design questions, connections with professionals, and incredible feats of dynamic performance, SAE fosters a community to shape the next generation of engineers within the motorsport industry. The opportunities SAE presents to teams across the nation allows GFR to showcase the hard work, design prowess, and high performance that amounted to GFR's first place finish this past season. The foundation of each GFR design begins within the 3D workspace. 💻

From the initial concept, to fully integrated assemblies, our team relies on software to envision concepts that can be turned into working elements across every subsystem on the car. It's these tools that enable us to build an authentic digital twin and model real-world behavior to simulate and refine designs before they are manufactured. In the 3D plane, the car is created.

Between structural design and dynamic visualization, the Siemens workspace is the ultimate bridge between GFR's virtual and physical systems. With Siemens technology by our side, GFR is empowered with smart engineering decisions and pushes boundaries of digital design and development.

Empowered by DHBW Center for Advanced Studies – accelerating GFR’s success from the classroom to the track! 🏎️⚡

The DHBW CAS was a key partner in supporting our team throughout the season. From academic guidance, to valuable methodological input, the collaboration significantly enhanced our team dynamics and working practices.

We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in workshops such as “Leadership Communication”, which help us grow in our role as team leaders and improve our ability to communicate clearly. These theoretical insights allow us to support and guide our teams more effectively.

GFR's first place finish at FSAE Michigan 2025 can be attributed to the team's dedication to excellence and the devotion of our sponsors. Eibach, provider of the springs on the vehicle's damper assembly, tied together GFR25's suspension with industry-leading performance products. Eibach's support allowed our 2025 vehicle to be light-weighted, while simultaneously achieving high performance results. With a system as critical as the damping system, our team is extremely grateful to have been able to work with Eibach and use their springs for our competition season!
