Sharing the latest from Garner State Park below. So many of you come to the area for the park, so here is their update straight from the source.

The short version: Garner is beginning to reopen. Day use is returning in a limited capacity, camping is back open, and the Visitor Center is open. Trails are still closed, and swimming and river activities are not safe just yet while things settle.

Here at Parkview Riverside, we are open and accepting reservations, and our team is ready to welcome you. Road conditions in the area are still changing, so please check www.drivetexas.org before you travel.

For anything you need, give the store a call at 830-232-4006, open every day from 8:00am to 9:00pm. We are keeping a close eye on the river and will post here if anything changes. Travel safely, and we hope to see you on the Frio.

**Garner Park Alert Updates - Friday, July 17th⚠️**
Garner has experienced heavy rains this week. Day use access will open in a limited capacity starting at 2pm today. All trails are currently closed, and swimming and river activities are currently not safe to participate in. Picnicking is available and the Visitor Center will be open.
The park is reopened to camping. If you need to confirm, cancel, or change your reservations, please contact our customer service center at 512-389-8900. Road conditions to and from park are ever changing. We encourage all park guests to visit www.drivetexas.org before traveling.
Please be patient with us as we continue to clean up after the storms, make necessary repairs, and return all of the phone and email messages.

First picture is at 7:30am today, second and third are at 2:30 this afternoon, fourth is at 8:30 this evening, as you can see the river crested and is in the process of going back down, it is now below the steps again.

Hey everybody, sorry we have not got back to your messages and post the last few days. We are doing well and the park is unscathed from the past and current rise in the Frio. For anybody coming to see us in the near future, you will have an amazing river to swim and float. Be safe out there and hope to see everybody soon. I will post pictures in a separate post with times from today.
