Riverbend Update – July 17, 2026 ☀️

The Frio is still running high, murky, and fast today, but we’re seeing great progress! Since yesterday, the river has already dropped along our riverfront.

For everyone asking about river conditions, we expect the water to continue dropping back within its banks over the next couple of days. Once it clears up, we’re expecting some of the best tubing conditions of the summer next week. If you’ve been thinking about a last-minute Frio getaway, this may be the perfect time to book!

In the meantime, enjoy these photos of the river and the amazing guests who have been staying with us through this week. They’ve embraced the Riverbend spirit, stayed positive, and made the best of this experience!

Please help us keep our phone lines open for guests who are currently staying with us and for communication with local weather officials.

If you have questions about future reservations, please email us at [email protected] rather than calling the office. We will respond as soon as we’re able.

We are closely monitoring the Frio River and staying in contact with local authorities as conditions change.

Our office is also operating with a limited staff today. We appreciate your patience as response times may be a little longer than usual.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ll continue sharing updates

If you’ll be traveling to or from the Concan area today, we recommend checking road conditions before you head out.

At this time, 83 south toward Uvalde, US 90 between Knippa and Sabinal, and portions of SH 127 are currently closed due to high water.

If you’re traveling north, the best route at this time is through Leakey on 83 and Hwy 41 through Kerrville.

Please check DriveTexas.org for the latest road conditions before traveling, as conditions may change throughout the day.
