What was your first car?

Things to Do Instead of handing your keys over to a shop and crossing your fingers, you stay in control of exactly what goes into your car and how much it costs.

Okay so this needs context.

That’s a Ferrari 488 Spider. Twin turbo V8, drops the top, and one of the better looking Ferraris of the last decade if you ask me.

Columbus Division of Police called Strada Motorwerks wanting something better than last year’s show car for a free show on the Rich Street Bridge that raises money for the Columbus Police Foundation. Less than five minutes after that call, 488 rolled into the shop for service. He said yes almost immediately.

Two weeks for the graphics. Three days to wrap it. Strada donated the design and the labor, Kevin loaned the car.

Here’s the part that got me. Once a car’s in real police livery, the law says only an actual officer can drive it. So for the whole weekend, the guy who owns it legally couldn’t get behind the wheel.

Monday it’s his again.

Would you have said yes that fast?

Twenty-five years ago, strangers ran toward the worst thing that had ever happened to this country. Not away from it.

Firefighters ran up stairs the wrong way. People carried each other out who they had never met before that morning. For weeks after, people who owed each other nothing kept showing up anyway, just to help however they could.

Nobody was checking who anyone was. None of that mattered for a while. People were just people who needed each other.

That part is easy to forget twenty-five years later. Not just what we lost that day. But what it made us, for a little while.

We remember.

10 years of Vaded! pushing the culture forward.

Huge shoutout to Joshua Freeman and the Vaded crew for putting together a block party at Land-Grant Brewing to celebrate a decade of the brand.

Walking around out there, the thing that stuck with us is where most of those cars actually got built. Not the buddy’s garage everybody wishes they had. The driveway. The apartment parking lot. The one where you’re on the ground because there’s nowhere else to go.

Amazing cars don’t just happen. They take late nights and somewhere to actually do it.

If you left inspired to finally finish yours, you don’t have to wrench in the rain to get it done. Climate controlled bays, professional lifts, and fully loaded toolboxes, by the hour. Book at the link in bio.

What a wild night this was…we actually ran out of parking!

The best part was how many people were in here for the first time. Watching somebody walk in and look up at the lifts like that doesn’t get old.

Thank you 614𝑊ℎ𝑖𝑝𝑠 for bringing everybody out, we appreciate the support and love from everyone that came!! 🖤🙏🏼
