THE PEOPLE BEHIND BIG O TIRES: SPENCER
If you've stopped by Big O Tires on Peachtree Drive in Columbia, you've likely met Spencer. A lifelong Columbia resident, Spencer loves that his hometown offers the perfect balance of convenience and opportunity. From its beautiful parks and thriving local businesses to its welcoming communities for just about every hobby, Columbia has always been the place he calls home.
Spencer joined Big O Tires in the summer of 2014 as a transfer driver, expecting it to be a temporary summer job. But as he took on more responsibilities behind the scenes and contributed to projects like new store openings, he quickly realized he had found a team where he was valued and could make a real impact. While he didn't originally set out to build a career in the automotive industry, he's proud to serve his community by providing outstanding customer service alongside a team that's committed to raising the standard of excellence every day.
When he's not at work, Spencer enjoys supporting Columbia's vibrant arts scene. Whether he's attending DIY concerts, visiting local art shows, or discovering the city's talented musicians and artists, he loves celebrating the creativity that makes Columbia unique.
Fun fact: Spencer has been playing guitar for about 20 years and estimates there are at least nine or ten guitars in his home. Music has become one of his biggest passions outside of work.
When asked what he hopes customers say about Big O Tires, Spencer's answer is simple: that they felt comfortable from the moment they walked through the door and knew the team had their best interests at heart. He understands many people have had frustrating experiences with automotive repair, and he sees every visit as an opportunity to earn trust through honest recommendations and exceptional service.
