Friday Fuel came with a little extra horsepower this week. ⛽️🐴🏎️

Lunch made its way back to the shop while the guys kept things moving, giving us a slightly different backdrop for this week's Friday Fuel picture — a customer's Ferrari 360 Modena that's here for exhaust work.

As always, there was plenty more happening around the shop.

The RB26 we've been sharing has more progress since its last appearance, while a Mustang GT stopped by for a pre-purchase inspection, making a solid Friday lineup to wrap up our week at HXC Performance & Auto!

Cars are designed with a lot of things in mind. Making things easy to reach isn't always one of them. 🫠🔧

Some jobs may have you suspended over the engine bay, while others will have you halfway inside a wheel well. Sometimes you just have to get a little creative to get the job done!

Just another Wednesday at HXC Performance & Auto — getting the job done, no matter what "Mechanic's Yoga" pose it puts us in.

(Plus a little bit of RB26 eye candy, since we know that's the main thing some of you are watching for😉)

Sometimes the work starts before the car even pulls into the parking lot. 📞

Up front Fox has been helping customers get their appointments on the schedule & coordinate delivery of parts for the work.
Out in the shop, the lifts are staying busy with cars already in the process.
Over by the tire machine, Hans is currently seeing evidence of so many people swearing that they'll only take their tires to him. 🛞

Different customers, different cars, same goal - getting back on the road. If YOU need help, give us a call or stop by and see us, we'll be here 9am to 6pm, Monday - Friday.

And if anyone needs Hans, he'll be by the tire machine for a bit 😅

Good thing we're used to troubleshooting around here 🔧😅

Today's Friday Fuel ⛽️didn't go quite according to plan.
We called ahead & placed our order for pickup later in the day, but when we arrived - there was no record of it!? 🧐

So, much like when something doesn't go exactly as planned in the shop, there wasn't much point in standing around & staring at the problem - we just had to figure out Plan B!

A quick pivot later and Friday Fuel was back on track with food from Abelardo's, the guys were fed & everything was coming back together.

Sometimes the day is about taking things apart, putting them back together, and rolling with the challenges thrown your way - a pretty normal Friday around HXC Performance & Auto!

Apparently paying attention in geometry class wasn't such a bad idea after all. 📐
Turns out, the guys at HXC use it all the time! 🚗

With custom suspension work and alignments happening around the shop today, there are plenty of angles to think about - camber, caster, toe and how everything works together once the car is back on the road.

And while we're getting those angles sorted out, a jeep is already making it's way through the door with a little help from a tow truck.

Whether we're changing how a car sits, getting everything lined back up, or figuring out why one couldn't make it here on it's own, there's usually a little more going on behind the scenes than you might think. 🔧

You know that feeling when a 3-day weekend somehow leaves you MORE tired than a normal one? 😴

Apparently this car can relate.

Whether you came out of the long weekend refreshed or feeling like you could use another day off... hopefully your Tuesday started a little easier than this car's did. 😅

HXC Performance & Auto will be open 9am to 6pm for the rest of the week & we have openings in our schedule if your car is also needing a little TLC after the holiday weekend.

Today's ⛽️ Friday Fuel destination sent us downtown to Tony's Pizza Palace-Columbia, with a little bonus stop at Sparky's Homemade Ice Cream so we could bring a special treat back to the crew too! 🍦🥵

Thanks to Tony's for helping fuel the crew today, and an extra thanks to Sparky's for helping cool everyone down as we head into the hot holiday weekend!

HXC will also be CLOSED Monday, September 7th for Labor Day, so the guys get a little extra time to recharge before we're back at it Tuesday. 🔧

Meanwhile at HXC... 🔧

One car getting some new tires while another prepares to be worked on a few feet away.

No elaborate theme today. No perfectly staged pictures. Just a couple snapshots of what was happening when we walked through the shop. 📸

Around here, there's usually something being diagnosed, repaired, cleaned, adjusted or put back together.

And tomorrow? We'll see what ends up in front of the camera. 👀

In one direction, there's an RB26 with another customer's Nissan Skyline just behind it. Turn around and a car is being guided onto the alignment rack. Around the corner, parts are being cleaned up. Step into the office & there's plenty to look at in there too. 🔍

Different cars. Different jobs. Different stages of the process — and plenty of HXC personality mixed in along the way.
