Early Anglias have always had a special place in hot-rodding history, offering the proverbial big engine in a small package. This 1948 Ford Anglia delivers on that formula with a rather civilized 6.0 liter LS2 V8 from a late-model GTO, as well as a 4L60 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. There's a comfortable and surprisingly spacious interior, a well-sorted suspension that's street-friendly, and beautiful bodywork that keeps the classic Anglia look. Nicely built, easy to drive, and ready to rumble, it's available today for $59,900.

Built for combat, this 1994 Ford Mustang GT has already been upgraded with all the heavy-duty hardware for high-speed fun. The engine is a brand new Blueprint Engines 351-based 408 cubic inch stroker motor making roughly 500 horsepower. The chassis has been fortified with custom control arms, a heavy-duty driveshaft, subframe connectors, and a reinforced 8.8-inch rear end. The 5-speed has a fresh clutch ahead of it, and the 4-wheel disc brakes have cross-drilled and slotted rotors. Finished with 17-inch chrome Cobra R style wheels, it has exactly the right look. Very clean throughout, insanely fast, and properly tuned, this is a Mustang that's formidable on the track and livable on the street. Available now for a fraction of the build cost at just $24,900!

This 1956 Desoto Firedome Seville hardtop is one of the prettiest cars we've seen. Virgil Exner was at his peak when he designed the '56 Desotos, and the proportions on this car are just about perfect. Add in a gorgeous color combination, a stunning interior restored using NOS fabric, and a powerful 331 cubic inch HEMI V8, and you get a car that drives like a luxury car but thinks it's a muscle car. Just beautiful throughout, it's available now for $59,900!

This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 is one of those very high-quality cars that quietly impresses us the more time we spend with it. It's a real code 138 SS with documentation for its L34 396/350 horsepower V8. It has a slick-shifting Muncie 4-speed that makes awesome turbine sounds. It has ice cold factory air. It has laser-straight black bodywork and an all-new interior. The chassis is as clean as the exterior. And it drives beautifully--fast, smooth, tight. Even the clock works! It's just a great car that rewards an owner who likes to drive. Price is $69,900, which is the going rate for high-quality big block Chevelles. This is a seriously nice car!

Need 700 horsepower but a Hellcat or Demon is just too expensive? Want a pro-built street brawler that just works? Want even more power down the line? This spectacular 2015 Dodge Challenger S**t Pack has been comprehensively modified by the pros at Hutter Performance, starting with a 422 cubic inch HEMI stroker motor, topped with a ProCharger supercharger. Set up for pump gas, it makes about 700 horsepower, but with the proper tune, it can go over 1000. And don't worry, the rest of the car has been upgraded as well, including back seat delete, big brakes, a custom driveshaft, and axles rated for 1200 horsepower. Best of all, it still runs and drives like a stocker, with great road manners, cold A/C, and all the creature comforts. Price? A shockingly reasonable $42,900, which barely covers the cost of the upgrades. Bring your pilot's license!

What could be more fun this summer than cruising in this ultra-clean 1976 Volkswagen Beetle convertible? Beautifully restored with a few choice modifications, it has an awesome look with great road manners. The engine has been warmed over, so it's a bit more potent than your garden-variety Bug, and the stance is just about perfect. That metallic orange paint glows in the sunlight, and typical VW build quality is evident throughout. One of the nicest Bugs we've seen, it's available for less than the cost of the build at just $19,900!

The mid-'90s Impala SS is one of the most consistently popular cars on the market. Full-sized comfort with a heaping helping of performance, they were the big sedan everyone wanted. Today, the 1996 examples are the ones to own, featuring bucket seats and a proper center console with shifter, enhancing their sporty appeal. This is an affordable SS with higher mileage, but it runs great and shows very well in its desirable Dark Green-Gray Metallic paint. A few minor modifications like an upgraded exhaust system enhance the fun without changing the basic goodness of the car. And at $18,900, you probably won't find a more affordable way to own a legend.

This neat little 1933 Ford cabriolet might be one of the most thoughtfully engineered street rods we've ever seen. It's fiberglass, but in excellent condition and gets the vintage Ford look exactly right. Power comes from a 4.3 liter GM V6, but before you dismiss it, remember that the 4.3 is actually 3/4 of a 350 and it makes enough power to give this rod genuine performance (and it actually sounds like a V8!). With fuel injection, a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission, power windows, A/C, disc brakes, and much more, it's easy to drive and cruises effortlessly with today's traffic. Inside you'll find all kinds of clever storage and real safety features like deadbolts with reminder alarms for the suicide-style front doors. The top is a lift-off piece, and it's been driven enough so you know it's sorted out. It just works like it should. If you want a no-hassles rod that's just a turn of the key away from fun, this cool Ford fits the bill. Available now for only $36,900!
