Under the hood you'll find a fully detailed and correct suffix code JE L71 435 horsepower solid lifter tri-power 427 with its proper Holley carburetors atop a Winters intake manifold, a K66 transistorized ignition, correct radio suppression spark plug wires, front accessory drive with a proper large pulley on its date coded alternator and the car's VIN stamped into the deck surface. Power is sent back through a Muncie M21 close ratio four speed manual transmission and a Positraction-equipped rear axle with 4.11:1 gears. The F41 performance suspension and chassis is every bit as detailed and nice as the top. The car rides on 15 inch styled steel wheels wrapped in Firestone redline tires. Outside the beautiful silver paint pairs beautifully with the black stinger, and the bodywork is considerably better than most midyear Corvettes with consistent gaps and extremely straight panels. There are all new or expertly redone emblems and chrome pieces, N14 side exhaust with polished tips, a black convertible top, factory tinted windows and all new lights and lenses. Inside you'll find properly done seats, a rosewood sport wheel and chromed shifter, a proper 6500RPM tach, an AM radio and more. This car also comes with its window sticker, tank sticker and Protect-O-Plate, and while we are not vintage documentation experts this car previously ran through Mecum Auctions with those items presented as original. This is an amazingly well detailed and finished Corvette with impeccable paint, trim and interior work, with the legendary 435hp 427, the right transmission, factory side exhaust and more.
