This little ranger is NOT the proper technique when repairing a pump transmission. What’s even worse is that this wonderful silicone job was performed by another “professional” fire repair company based in Oklahoma 👀🤔🤯. We are in the process of getting them fixed up the correct way and also upgrading the VPS shifter to the two piece shaft.

Getting this truck ready for a customer that has purchased it. During inspection we found the apparatus was going to need new pump packing. Based on the condition of the packing, we elected to go ahead and fully disassemble the pump, split the case, and inspect the shaft, wear rings, and impeller.

While it adds more time to the process, it ensures we are providing the customer with a reliable, top-quality apparatus that is truly ready to go to work.

In this rebuild process we will be:

• Installing new pump packing
• Rebuilding the auto l**e system
• Replacing the input and output shaft seals
• Performing a front & rear bearing replacement
• Upgrading the VPS to a 2-piece shaft

We believe quality matters, and we would rather take the extra time to do it right the first time than cut corners. That commitment is what keeps departments on the road and ready to respond. đźš’

A huge thank you to Pioneer Technology Center. It is always an honor to provide quality apparatus to a department, especially when it will help train and prepare the next generation of firefighters.
