Tires aren't cheap, and taking care of your them doesn't have to be complicated. Here are some tips to help them last longer, improve fuel economy, and keep you safer on the road:

1. Check your tire pressure about once a month. Properly inflated tires wear more evenly and can even improve gas mileage.

2. Rotate your tires every 5,000–7,500 miles to help them wear evenly.

3. Watch your tread depth. If the tread is getting low, it's time to start thinking about replacement, especially before rainy weather.

4. Keep your wheels aligned. If your vehicle pulls to one side or your steering wheel isn't centered, an alignment could help prevent uneven tire wear.

5. Don't ignore vibrations. If your vehicle suddenly feels rough or shaky, it's worth having your tires checked.
