HALLOWEEN IS SUPPOSED TO BE SCARY, YOUR TIRES AREN'T!

Did you know that those pretty fall leaves covering the roads can actually create some pretty dangerous driving conditions?

We're here to share a few fall tire facts that might surprise you:

🍁 Wet leaves can be surprisingly slippery! When leaves get wet, they can reduce the amount of traction your tires have on the road, especially when braking or turning.

🍁 Your tire tread does more than you think! Those grooves aren't just for looks. They're designed to channel water away from beneath your tires, helping maintain contact with the road.

🍁 Here's a really easy trick to check your tread: Place a penny upside down into your tire's tread with Lincoln's head facing you. If you can see the top of his head, your tread is at or below 2/32 of an inch and it's time to replace your tires.

🍁 Your tire pressure changes with the weather. For every 10°F drop in temperature, your tires can lose approximately 1 PSI of pressure. That's why your tire pressure warning light might be making a surprise appearance on a chilly fall morning!

Here's our Walt Sweeney technician certified fall car care tip: Don't wait for your tires to become the scariest part of your commute. A quick tread and pressure check can help you prepare for the changing weather!

🎃🍬🎃 BONUS TREAT: If your tires are due for replacement, we're offering our Sweet Treat Tire Special: Buy 3 qualifying tires, get the 4th for just $1 through October 15th! Don't forget, we also service all makes and models!

Stay safe on those fall roads, Cincinnati! 🍁💙

To quote another satisfied customer of ours: “John Sweeney was great to work with. He was very understanding of our wants and needs. He was able to get us into a car that we loved, it was quick and easy. He did not make us feel pressured to get something that we were not happy with. He was extremely patient with us, answered all our questions, and made this very stressful situation non stressful. I would recommend him to everyone . ”
