We would like to congratulate our 2026 FAST On Dirt Championship winning driver and team: Ricky Peterson Jr. and owners Tom and Fran Chiappelli. Also, congratulations to Luke Wolford on being the championship crew chief. This is back-to-back titles!
This team ran 13 main events with us in 2026 with an incredible 12 top 6 finishes. A win came in May at the Pete Smith Memorial at Skyline Speedway. Three runner-up finishes came twice at Atomic Speedway and once at Tri City Raceway Park. They were also third, twice. That’s 46.2% on the podium!
Perhaps most impressive is that 9 of the 13 shows, they went forward in the main event. Often times MUCH forward. Like 16th to 5th at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway and 14th to 6th at Mansfield Speedway. They led the series with three Helms & Sons Hard Charger awards!
Ricky also scored 5 heat race wins in those 13 nights, winning Ti22 Performance Inc. heat one 3 times and JLT Enterprises heat 2, twice.
With help from the sponsors listed above along with All Pro Cylinder Heads, Inc., Hoosier Tire Midwest, Inc., Great Lakes Sprints TV and Allstar Performance, Ricky, Tom, Fran, Luke and the rest of the team earned $15,000 for the title, running 13 events in a 2 hour radius of Mansfield, Ohio.
