HOTRODS, HOTDOGS & HOPE: CRUISING FOR THE LONGEST DAY

Primrose Retirement Community reached out to us with a great idea for Father's Day, and we're helping them make it happen!

What's The Longest Day?
June 21st is the summer solstice - the day with the most light. The Alzheimer's Association uses this day to raise awareness because those living with Alzheimer's and their caregivers often feel like their days never end.

This event is about community outreach - bringing our cars to Primrose residents, sparking memories, and raising awareness for Alzheimer's.

Event Details:
📅 Sunday, June 21, 2026 (Father's Day!)
⏰ 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
📍 Primrose Retirement Community - 1530 Dorothy Ln
🚗 ALL vehicles welcome - not just classics!
🌭 Food provided for all cruisers
🏆 Awards including Residents' Choice & more! (These are fun awards)

Two Shifts Available (40 spots each):
Shift 1: 10 AM - 12 PM (Meet at Frontier Mall at 9:30 AM)
Shift 2: 12 PM - 2 PM (Meet at Frontier Mall at 11:30 AM)
Meeting Point: Frontier Mall - 1400 Dell Range Blvd (old movie theater entrance)

This Saturday, we're featuring an organization that's all about supporting those who serve.

Adopt an Airman connects our Cheyenne community with airmen stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base on their first assignment. The program gives these young service members a "home away from home" - a local family to share a dinner with, catch a game with, or just hang out with on a day off.

They're far from their families. We can be their family here.

Saturday, May 30th:
✈️ Nonprofit: Adopt an Airman WYO
🧆 Food Truck: Noam's Table - A taste of Tel Aviv with homemade hummus, falafel & Middle Eastern flavors
🍕 Food Truck: Fritzzeria - Wood-fired pizza perfection

Today hits different when you're a veteran family.
Memorial Day isn't a day off. It's not about sales or cookouts or the start of summer. It's about remembering those who didn't come home - and the families who still set a place at the table for someone who never will.
My family has served. We know what sacrifice looks like. We know what the knock on the door means to some families. We know that freedom isn't free - it's paid for by someone's son, daughter, mom, dad, brother, sister, husband, wife.
So today, before you fire up the grill or head to the lake, take a moment. Remember why you have the freedom to do those things.
To every Gold Star family - we see you. We honor your loved one's sacrifice. And we will never forget.
Some gave all. 🇺🇸

👣 THIS SATURDAY'S SPOTLIGHT: STRIDE LEARNING CENTER 👣

For over 50 years, STRIDE Learning Center has been helping Cheyenne's youngest learners take their first steps - literally and figuratively.

STRIDE is an early intervention and special education organization serving over 650 children with special needs, from birth through age 5. They provide the support, therapy, and education these kids need during the most critical years of development.

Their motto says it all: Children first. Families matter. Strive for excellence.
