Alot has been happening and I'm going to start off by saying that I've recently spoken to 6 other custom painters in all different states and they all work pretty much the same way. They have guidelines and they make them known. Alot of them I agree with, others I didn't until they explained them. So I just want to share with you Brush Hours new guidelines that are in affect as of today.
1. If your piece, part, helmet, whatever it is, has been spray painted previously. We will not touch it. It's a automatic no.
2 if you have selected a candy color. And the part/parts have been cleared and you want to add or change anything about it/them. There will be a fee for or what a has already been done, and the clock resets back to zero until the part is finished. What that means is sanding everything back down and restarting the whole process and it will be noted that your part is probably not going to match now, and you will certainly be aware. We will also be adding signed paperwork from the start making it noted about these possibilities. It can ultimately ruin the part. You may have to replace it. You may have to repaint every item, you may have to replace every part. So when it's set in stone it's set in stone from the beginning before we even start.
3 If you want a exact piece without giving me a bit of free roam I am not the guy you want or need.
4. I do not do sketches. I do not make visual effects to give you a idea. If you ou find something off the Internet and want exactly that then I am not your guy. I can make it look similar but I do not recreate others work. Find out who painted that piece and take it to them.
5. Artwork pieces are charged by the hour, plus materials. I can't give you a exact time frame on how long it will take me. But I can assure you that I am fair on my time and it will be recorded.
6. I do not and will not do devils. I will not paint anything that goes against my morals or my religion.
7. Please do not drop something off and expect it the next day! It will not happen.
8. If you ship, you are responsible to the pay shipping to me and for the item to be returned to you..
9. This one goes for shops. If you want graphics done, I charge by the day. Whatever item , may it be truck, car, bike etc it must be ready for me when I arrive. I'm not bagging, sanding, back taping etc. Clear coat imusy be done by the shop. I am there to do graphics and graphics only..
10. I am not a finisher. I have a professional detailer that works with us whom we schedule to come once the parts are ready for him. He charges by the job. His prices are a ball park figures that I give each customer. If he has to come back out because you added parts after he is done it is on you to pay him. If it's something we have done or he himself that is on us.
I just want everyone to be fully aware of this right from the start. There's nothing hidden about us. It's laid out right here and honestly nothing has changed. I get asked a lot of these questions so maybe this helps those and answers any questions that you may have. If you do have questions about any of this please feel free to still ask. Thank you
