Race Day! 🏁
We made a trip over to West Liberty Raceway to race with the sprint Invaders this evening.
We started the night out with a fuel leak. Luckily the Alexanders were kind enough to help us and lend us the parts we needed to race tonight.
We started 5th in Heat 2. Unfortunately Tyler made a rookie mistake; he came into turn 3 hit the cushion, and biked the car up. This caused him to drop back to eight where he spent the rest of the race following the pack to the finish.
A Main: Tyler started 21st in the A Main. On the opening start of the A 3 cars spun out causing a restart.
On the second restart of the A Main another accident happened resulting in 5 or 6 cars to hit one another. Unfortunately the T4 was included in this accident forcing us to the work area.
Looking over the T4 we found that the front left side of the axel was bent and the nose wing was smashed. Luckily for us the damage was not enough to keep us off the track tonight. He went back out to finish the A Main and ended up placing 13th in the A Main tonight!
