Great weekend with great friends in a beautiful area in the Finger Lakes. Huge kudos to our triathlon tribe for jobs well done by all!

Special shout outs to Tracy and for incredible races going sub 5hr 40 minutes for both of them - and in Kaitlyn’s first 70.3 enroute to a full Ironman in Maryland in September.

Also along with us was for his first 70.3 and second ever triathlon and crushing a sub 5 hour finish time.

Finally, Bonnie also joined us and turned in a time of just over 7 hours, smashing her goal time by over an hour.

Many highlights this weekend and we learned a lot about triathlon, gift giving during the holiday season, taking gels without using them in training, Bonnie and her husband Bill’s northern Italian restaurant choices, how to cram four people into the back seat of a GMC Canyon designed to hold 3, and Bill’s desire for a zesty macho hot dog that was technically a flaming cheetah hot dog. Honorable mention to mayor Don Cabrera with finish line match making for Kaitlyn.

Grand finale was bringing home the W in the paddle for at Counties! One for the memory books!

Solid fluke fishing in Cape May continues! Gotta work for the keepers more some days than others, but the action between them and shorts has been generally good. We’ve also had some nice sea bass mixed in to add to the box, and the first triggerfish of the year on the Bomb today! Hope everyone had a great 4th of July celebrating in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave and enjoyed the beautiful - although very hot - weekend!

I’ll be running the Miss Chris Friday evening for their four hour fishing and fireworks trip. Plan is to try and catch a few fish, likely a mixed bag of croakers with maybe a trout or kingfish in the mix, before heading up to view the Lower Township celebration of America’s 250th! ***CANYON TILE FISH, SATURDAY, AUGUST 1***

We have scheduled a mid summer 18 hour tilefish trip. We will be targeting golden and blueline tilefish, along with the potential for black belly rosies and other exotics. This trip departs at 2am aboard the MISS CHRIS out of Miss Chris Marina in Cape May, returning around 8pm. This trip is limited to 20 anglers for maximum fishing space for $490/PP. Rod rentals with hand crank and electric reels are available.

Banger fishing on Father’s Day today! Last chance till September to capitalize on 10PP sea bass and we did with some incredibly beautiful fish - especially considering it’s June 21! A few December quality fish are around! We capped things off with a quick stop for fluke on the way home and a good jig bite with several real nice fish including a 23” for the admiral, my beautiful wife, Tracy! Father’s Day vibes with a great crew!
