Offshore and inshore, we are getting it done!

Fluke fishing is good - when the damn weather allows us to fish! It hasn’t been easy between wind, storms, and rain, but we are trying to fish whenever the conditions allow us to sail. Been a rough summer wind wise, but fishing has been good!

Keep an eye out for last minute openings aboard the Bomb!

We also have two fluke dates available on the Miss Chris on special trips that Captain Adam will be running.

The first is on Friday, September 4th. This is an 8 hour trip setting sail at 6am and returning at 2pm.

The second is a very special 12 hour closing day marathon on September 25th for fluke and sea bass. Sea bass will be 10 per person for this trip and fluke is still open with the opportunity for 3 per man! This trip will depart at 5am sharp, returning at 5pm to hopefully close out the 2026 fluke season on a high note! This trip is limited to a maximum of 30 people.

We hope to have you aboard for one of the many trips we offer!

See ya soon!

Saturday, August 1 Report

Another OUTSTANDING day on the deep drop grounds with Capt Adam at the helm of the Miss Chris along with Captain Jeff and crew of Dom, Lou, and Christian!

From the first baits hitting the bottom, we had sick fishing for several hours with the five of us on deck trying like hell to keep up with Blueline and golden tiles flying over the rail. After limiting on BLT, we made a couple wiggles and found an area with straight Golden’s. With the wind puffing a little after lunch, the drift wasn’t ideal but we had a nice steady pick of goldies until we had our limit of those as well.

Major bonus when a big school of mahi found the boat and we got into some mahi mania for a bit casting artificial and floating baits to them.

Incredible trip with a great group of anglers and amazing crew putting a limit of both Blueline and golden tiles in the box and a nice slab of mahi on top! Shout out to Jigging World and Daiwa as the Deep Monster and Daiwa Tanacom combos have been a BEAST!

Can’t wait to get back out there!

The time has come for the ADAM BOMB III to move on to her new home. An amazing boat that we have fished countless trips on her since buying her brand new in 2005. Most heavily fished Hydra Sports in history? Quite possibly!

2700 hours on the original Yamaha 250HPDI’s

Repowered the end of 2008 with Yamaha F250B four strokes which we ran for almost 6500 hours.

Traded the Yamahas in during the winter of 2018 and repowered with her current power…a pair of 2018 Suzuki DF250AP outboards with 3700 hours and running fantastic.

So many memories made aboard this vessel. Tracy and I bought her in March 2005, just before the birth of our oldest daughter, Kaitlyn. It has fished as far north in the bay as Salem nuke plant, as far up the beach as Brigantine chasing stripers, as far south as Virginia, and as far offshore as the Baltimore and Wilmington canyons. Countless striped bass, fluke, sea bass, tog including two over 23lbs, black drum, blueline and golden tilefish, mahi mahi, king mackerel, and many other species have come across her deck and made the trip back to either Snug Harbor, Harborview, Bree Zee Lee, or for a brief time, Cape May Marine.

Too many insane trip memories and family memories to recount in one post. Now, she is on her way to Miami, Florida as we are writing new and exciting stories aboard our Bluewater 2350 ADAM BOMB IV and the big MISS CHRIS.

Many thanks to Blue Water Boats Sales/Service for the quality service work that has kept her reliably going for thousands of hours and continues to do so on the new boat.

I’d also like to thank Roger Leith Jr. Roger Leith from Jersey Cape Yacht Sales for his tireless efforts to find our girl a new home!

Fair winds and following seas AB3!

Ironman 70.3 musselman in the books.

Goal time - under 6 hours
Finish time - 5hr 53 minutes

Let’s go!!!

Great weekend with great friends in a beautiful area in the Finger Lakes. Huge kudos to our triathlon tribe for jobs well done by all!

Special shout outs to Tracy and for incredible races going sub 5hr 40 minutes for both of them - and in Kaitlyn’s first 70.3 enroute to a full Ironman in Maryland in September.

Also along with us was for his first 70.3 and second ever triathlon and crushing a sub 5 hour finish time.

Finally, Bonnie also joined us and turned in a time of just over 7 hours, smashing her goal time by over an hour.

Many highlights this weekend and we learned a lot about triathlon, gift giving during the holiday season, taking gels without using them in training, Bonnie and her husband Bill’s northern Italian restaurant choices, how to cram four people into the back seat of a GMC Canyon designed to hold 3, and Bill’s desire for a zesty macho hot dog that was technically a flaming cheetah hot dog. Honorable mention to mayor Don Cabrera with finish line match making for Kaitlyn.

Grand finale was bringing home the W in the paddle for at Counties! One for the memory books!

What.A. Weekend.

Solid fluke fishing in Cape May continues! Gotta work for the keepers more some days than others, but the action between them and shorts has been generally good. We’ve also had some nice sea bass mixed in to add to the box, and the first triggerfish of the year on the Bomb today! Hope everyone had a great 4th of July celebrating in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave and enjoyed the beautiful - although very hot - weekend!
