A close-up look at the horrors of the Alabama prison system - as well as resistance to those horrors - directly from those inside through cell phone camera footage, interviews, and more. Following its release and multiple awards, the Alabama prison system punished those featured in the film through transfers and solitary confinement.

About the doc: In 2019, filmmakers visit an Alabama prison to film a revival meeting. Off camera, incarcerated men whisper a message: terrible things are going on here and being kept secret. This sparks an immersive six-year investigation to discover the reality behind the walls of one of the nation's deadliest prison systems. Through unprecedented direct access and video shot on contraband cell phones, the men share about the horrific murder of a man inside by guards. The story unfolds in real time, revealing the brutality, violence, and corruption of prisons. As the men fight for their own survival, they embark on a campaign of resistance.

Last night in Vermont, folks installed a banner at White Cap Business Park in Williston, home to ICE’s National Criminal Analysis and Targeting Center. It remained until the early morning, when it was removed by cherry picker.

ICE is currently using this office to spy on innocent people across the country and identify targets for kidnapping and deportation. You can support the local resistance to this facility by calling White Cap’s management at 802-316-6017 and asking them to cancel the lease.

Temps are dropping, housing crisis is still crisis-ing, and Food Not Cops is still showing up every day in City Hall Park to serve up food and share supplies.

Do you want to help out with FNC but aren’t able to commit to a cook night or distro?? Help us by doing some of the labor at home! Come to the HF kitchen between 12-1 or 2-3 to grab some supplies and some food, bring it back to your place, cook up something yummy, and drop it off the next day at City Hall Park! Being at the park means we are feeding a lot more people than we’re used to (yay!!) but it can be hard with just one kitchen to heat up enough food during our short prep time. Bringing something directly to distro is a huge help for everyone! Make sure to label it especially with allergens, if vegetarian, etc and DM the instagram before so we can pass on to bring extra serving utensils!
