Our hearts are heavy this weekend. Our community, and two of our local school districts, are mourning the heartbreaking loss of young lives. We extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, classmates, staff, and everyone affected by these tragic losses. Our thoughts and prayers are with every family affected by the horrific fires. Please pray for the ranchers, families, and first responders. Lord bring us rain! 🙏🏻

If you haven't noticed yet, wildfire smoke and ash are blowing across much of southern Montague County this morning. A wildfire started in Palo Pinto County late yesterday and burned into Jack County overnight. The fire is currently at 50,000 acres and 5% contained. Because of the high fire danger, please remain very weather aware today. It is definitely not a day for working outside with anything that could create a spark. If you see fire, call 9-1-1 immediately. (Reports of "smoke" probably aren't going to be helpful.)
