With more than 37 years in the automotive industry, Ed is truly the backbone of the mechanical diagnostics and work we do here at Express Automotive Service. His experience, knowledge, integrity, and willingness to help, make him a trusted leader and an invaluable part of our team.

Ed was previously an ASE Master Technician, and he has decided to work toward earning that designation again. He recently successfully completed his ASE Engine Repair and ASE Electrical/Electronic Systems certifications. He also holds his ASE Brakes certification and ASE G-1 General Automotive certification.

After 37+ years in this industry, Ed has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to draw from. But what we appreciate most is that he doesn't keep that knowledge to himself. He works alongside our technicians, helps solve the difficult problems, shares what he has learned over the years, and helps us continue to provide quality work for the people who trust us with their vehicles.

🚗 "A little Car Knowledge Goes a Long Way"

Tires and brakes have something in common: they don’t usually fail at a convenient time.** 😅

The good news? You can often see the warning signs before you’re faced with an emergency repair.

🛞 Tires
If your tread is getting low, you notice uneven wear, or your tires are getting older (over 5 years), start planning for replacement. You don't necessarily need to replace them today, but knowing they’re coming gives you time to budget, compare options, and avoid being caught off guard.

🛑 Brakes
If your brake pads are getting thin, ask your technician how much life they realistically have left. A little planning now can help you schedule the work on your terms instead of waiting until you hear that dreaded grinding noise.

💡 Here’s the takeaway:
When your technician tells you, “You’re going to need tires soon” or “Your brakes are getting close,” that doesn't always mean "Do it today.”
Sometimes it means “Start planning.”

Knowing what’s coming gives you time to prepare and that can make car ownership a whole lot less stressful. 🔧🚙

This little visitor stopped by the shop to remind us of something we see every day:

A small problem can become a BIG problem.

Just like a tiny dog can have a BIG personality, a small issue with your vehicle can turn into a much bigger and more expensive repair if it’s ignored. 🐶🔧

That little noise, warning light, fluid leak, or change in the way your vehicle drives may not seem like a big deal today… but catching it early can make all the difference.

So, when your vehicle tells you something isn’t quite right, don’t ignore the little things. They have a way of becoming BIG things.

Educational Series: "A Little Car Knowledge Goes a Long Way" 🚗

Maintenance is easier on your wallet when you plan for it.

Cars and trucks need routine maintenance, and those expenses are a lot less stressful when you expect them instead of getting caught off guard.

A little budgeting each month for things like batteries, oil changes, tires, brakes, and other wear items can go a long way toward keeping your vehicle reliable and your finances on track.

Tip 1: Check your oil level at your next fuel stop! ⛽️
Newer vehicles can use more oil between changes, so it’s important to check your oil level regularly, especially during hot summer weather. A quick check can help keep your engine properly lubricated and running smoothly. 😉

Tip 2: Check your tire pressure once a month. 🚗💨 Properly inflated tires can improve fuel economy, help your tires wear evenly, and make your vehicle safer to drive. And don’t forget to check the pressure when your tires are cold!
