AGDAILY Delivering smart, engaging, and innovative content for farming, ranching, and rural living. Now in print too with the award-winning Arcadian magazine!

Farm life centers around farming -- that much is undeniable. When you factor in other things like family, faith, hunting, tools, trucks, pets, and football, it's clear that farmers are much more than the crops or livestock in their fields. To top it all off, a farmer is also on the go -- A LOT! We understand that you don't go into the field or head to your workshop with a magazine under your arm,

but we know your phone is always at hand. These days, everything is digital and mobile, and we believe your news should be, too. AGDAILY speaks to the trending issues and helps to accurately convey the culture of what farming is all about. Some of us might wear overalls and use pitchforks, but the public perception of us shouldn't be based on a decades-old painting. We are a forward-thinking news site for a forward-thinking industry. You don't need someone to advocate for you, but rather with you. And the industry needs a voice that can laugh and think and inform and live side-by-side with it. Of course, we also know you want your news now, not tomorrow or in a month. The world doesn't work that way, not anymore. AGDAILY develops smart, engaging, and innovative mobile content. We're the information superhighway for your country road.

It's like they just keep finding new ways to complain about glyphosate.

I believe that the “glyphosate free” label is just another fear-based marketing narrative to sell you more expensive food products, especially for oats.

When it comes to the biggest private landowners in the United States, the list is filled with familiar names, but the reasons behind those vast holdings are often rooted in timber, ranching, conservation, and multigenerational family businesses.

The 2026 Land Report 100 offers a look at the individuals and families controlling the largest private land portfolios in the country. Published annually since 2007, the ranking is compiled through research into land transactions and property records and has become a closely watched snapshot of American landownership.

And while billionaires such as Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and sports and entertainment figures appear on the list, the biggest land portfolios aren't necessarily tied to farmland alone. Timberland and ranchland account for substantial portions of the acreage controlled by many of the nation's largest landowners.

Real estate magnate and sports team owner Stan Kroenke is now America's largest private landowner, with an estimated 2.7 million acres. His rise wasn't gradual: a massive ranchland acquisition in New Mexico pushed him from No. 4 on the 2025 list to No. 1 this year.

In December 2025, Kroenke acquired more than 937,000 deeded acres of New Mexico ranchland from the heirs of Teledyne founder Henry Singleton. The Land Report described it as the largest U.S. land purchase in more than a decade. Details of the off-market transaction were not disclosed by the brokers involved.
