In honor of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, our shop will be closed on Memorial Day as we take time to remember and reflect.

🚗 Customer concern: The vehicle would run fine, but after driving a while it would die. Then it wouldn’t start again until it sat for a bit.

After diagnosing the issue, we dropped the fuel tank and removed the fuel pump assembly to investigate further.

What we found was the fuel pump pickup sock completely clogged with a white mystery substance. That buildup was restricting fuel flow to the pump.

When the vehicle ran for a while, the restriction would starve the engine of fuel and cause it to stall. After sitting for a bit, fuel would slowly seep back through and it would start again — until the cycle repeated.

🔧 The fix:
• Replaced the fuel pump assembly
• Reinstalled everything and verified proper fuel delivery

After the repair, the vehicle ran and restarted normally.

Now we’re curious…
Any guesses what that white substance might be?
