Do I have to get multiple estimates? No. Washington doesn't require it, and neither does your insurance company. You have the right to choose any shop you want for your repair, regardless of where your insurance sends you initially.

Getting a second opinion is never a bad idea if you want peace of mind, but it's your call, not a requirement. If you'd rather just get it handled with one shop you trust, that works too.

Caught early, it's a manageable fix: the affected area gets sanded down to clean metal, treated, primed, and repainted before it has a chance to spread.
