Today marks 10 years since the historic August 2016 flood that devastated Livingston Parish and the Greater Baton Rouge area.

Team Toyota was hit hard, and 67 of our Team members also suffered damage to their homes. But through early mornings, late nights, and incredible teamwork, we came together and reopened our doors in just 7 days.

We will never forget everyone who stepped up during such an unimaginable time. Ten years later, Team Toyota is stronger and more resilient because we went through it together. ❤️

Thank you to every Team member who helped us recover and reopen, and thank you to our customers for standing by us and supporting us through it all. We are forever grateful. ❤️

🇺🇸 As we celebrate 250 years of America, we’d like to shine this week’s Team Spotlight on Russell Baltazar! 🇺🇸

This week, we’re honored to recognize Russell Baltazar Jr., one of our outstanding Product Specialists at Team Toyota.

For 32 years, Russell has been dedicated to helping customers find the right vehicle while providing exceptional service with integrity, professionalism, and care.

Before beginning his career in the automotive industry, Russell proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps for 22 years, retiring as a First Sergeant. Russell is also a Vietnam veteran who served during the Vietnam Conflict. The courage, sacrifice, and resilience demonstrated by those who served in Vietnam helped protect the freedoms we enjoy today, often under extraordinarily difficult and dangerous conditions. Their service came at a tremendous personal cost, and their commitment to our nation continues to inspire generations.

As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we are especially proud to honor Russell—not only for his decades of dedication to Team Toyota, but for his selfless service to our country. His leadership, humility, and commitment to others are evident in everything he does.
