Some friendships are built on trust. Others are built on making your coworker eat a cucumber.

Sonia apparently decided Aaron needed to expand his culinary horizons, whether he agreed or not. One minute, everything is normal. The next, Aaron is facing a cucumber like it personally offended him.

We are not sure what was more entertaining, Sonia’s determination or Aaron’s reaction.

Behind the scenes, there is always a little room for fun, especially when the team is willing to make each other try something outside their comfort zone. We just hope Aaron remembers who brought the cucumber next time lunch rolls around.

Some people spend summer at the beach. Matt apparently chose adventure instead.

Looking back at Matt’s summer plans, his itinerary included two very important destinations: the zoo and the Ren Faire, both with his dog along for the ride.

We have to respect the commitment. Not every dog gets a summer itinerary this ambitious.

But now we have questions.

Did the zoo win the dog’s heart? Did the Ren Faire turn him into a loyal knight? And most importantly, did Matt survive being accompanied by his four-legged adventure buddy through all of it?

We spend plenty of time talking about the work, but getting to know the people behind it is just as fun.

So, Matt, we need the post-summer report.

There is a reason the shop looks a little different in October.

The pink banners and shirts are more than a color change. They represent people in the Modern Collision family who have been affected by breast cancer and a commitment to support others going through it.

Through its partnership with the Kathleen Sutton Foundation, the shop is helping address some of the practical challenges patients can face during treatment. Transportation and housing may not be the first things people think about, but they can make a meaningful difference when someone is already dealing with so much.

It is a reminder that community support does not always have to be complicated. Sometimes, it starts with showing up and choosing to help.

Ever wonder what happens before you get the call saying, “Your car is ready”?

There is more to that moment than simply moving a vehicle out of the shop.

Before pickup, the team makes sure the vehicle is ready to make its way back to its owner. Aaron is handling those final details here, helping ensure everything is where it should be before the keys change hands.

It may not be the most noticeable part of the repair process, but those little details can make a big difference in how you feel when you finally get back behind the wheel.

He used to drive past the shop. Now he knows what happens inside.

Craig had been familiar with the shop for years from living on the island and passing by regularly. But what eventually brought him through the doors was something more meaningful: hearing friends and family talk about their experiences and how well their needs were taken care of.

Now, before Craig heads home, Jeff is taking the time to walk him through his vehicle and talk through the work that was done.

That conversation matters. It gives Craig a chance to ask questions, understand what was addressed, and feel confident before getting back on the road.

Meet Fred, one of the friendly faces you may see when you stop by The Auto Shop at Island Center, Modern Collision’s sister shop.

You probably never think about your steering rack. Until something goes wrong.

And on an electric vehicle like the Hyundai IONIQ 5, there is even more reason to pay attention to what happens behind the scenes.

Justin is working on a steering rack installation here, handling one of those components you may never see, but absolutely rely on every time you turn the wheel.
