Four years ago, Sidnee Carter lost her life due to an incredibly selfish decision.

For four years, her family, friends, and so many others have carried that unimaginable loss.

Sidnee, your family fights for your memory, legacy and change every single day. Laws are being passed because of your story. The future is being changed because of your life.

Although you are not here with us to speak your story and truth, one of the most powerful things I have experienced is when people make that same selfish mistake that ended your life and have their vehicle impounded by us. When they come to pick up their vehicle, they see your face on the hood of the truck and are forced to face the reality knowing that their actions could have had the same effect on another family.

Your story will never stop being shared and your legacy will forever live on. We miss you and will forever tell others of the kind, gracious, sassy, inclusive, and brave human you were to all those around you.

Please don’t drive impaired. Make a plan, call someone, and get home safely. In loving memory of Sidnee Carter. We will never forget you.

❗️Update: If you are wanting to buy a sweatshirt or crewneck, that will be under the “City Scene” option! It’s NOT available in the “Pinky Tows Logo” option!❗️

Alright yall.. It’s been a minute and we have had several ask..so here we are!

PINKY TOWS SHIRTS ARE BACK! 🎉

This time we have updated and revamped the design! We have teamed up with some good friends to make this possible. Geoff Louvar did a fantastic job bringing our vision to life for the Augusta graphic, and The Vintage Villa on State street here in Augusta has been phenomenal to work with through the actual shirt process.

That being said, we’ve still got the good ole Pinky Pink, but what’s new is the Classic Black, with some good ol’ Augusta, Kansas pride on the back! This option is offered in a SWEATSHIRT or CREWNECK also!🤩

In the past, we have always navigated the order process on our own. However, this time is different!

The Vintage Villa will now handle all our apparel orders! All you have to do is head over to their website link below, pick your shirt and size, and get yourself some Pinky Tows gear

Whether you’re a customer, friend, family member, supporter, or just like the pink trucks, we appreciate every single one of you more than you know! 💗

Also, Fellas, I promise hats are next! Stay tuned!

“The tarp is flapping again”

WE KNOW! And this past weekend thanks to all the people in the picture (plus my father-in-law), we put up a BRAND SPANKIN NEW FENCE.

This one will not blow over! I want to personally thank everyone for helping on this project! Pictured are my closest friends, my dad, and of course the supervisor Stetsyn.

New fence is up and as always more improvements incoming.

Hey everybody! 👋

Just wanted to jump on and say hi! We have been busy, busy, busy the last couple of weeks, and we truly appreciate every single one of you who continues to call, recommend, share, and support Pinky Tows!

We also want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has reached out regarding our tribute to our friend, Sidnee. The kind words, messages, shares, and support have meant more to us than we can put into words. 💙

We do have one small favor to ask!

If you’ve used Pinky Tows recently and were happy with our service, would you mind taking a minute to leave us a Google review? Reviews make a HUGE difference for a small, locally owned business like ours.

Unfortunately, we’ve received a couple of reviews lately that don’t reflect actual experiences with our company, including one from someone who has never used our services. Those reviews have knocked down what was otherwise a 5-star rating.

I want to be clear about something: we aren’t asking anyone to leave us a review we haven’t earned. I try to be extremely transparent about how we operate. If we mess up and earn a bad review, I’ll own it. That’s part of doing business. We just want our rating to reflect the experiences of the people we’ve actually had the opportunity to serve.

So, if we’ve helped you out , we’d greatly appreciate you sharing the true experience you had using Pinky Tows!

Thank you again for continuing to support your local towing company. We appreciate y’all more than you know!

Have a great day!

As always…

In the link in the comments of this post you can read more about Sidnee’s Law! 💙

Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office said Pinky Tows LLC created a memorial tow truck to honor Deputy Sidnee Carter.

"We hope everyone who sees this truck is reminded of Deputy Carter’s legacy, the sacrifices made by first responders every day, and the importance of slowing down, moving over, and never driving impaired."

Today we're honored to introduce the newest update to our fleet. This truck serves as a rolling memorial to Deputy Sidnee Carter, a fallen Kansas law enforcement officer who gave her life in the line of duty.

For me, this tribute is deeply personal. Sidnee and I were classmates through all of our Augusta Public Schools journey. We navigated kindergarten to senior year together. Sidnee was the kind of person who was a friend to everyone she met. She had a servant's heart, and that carried into her career in law enforcement as she dedicated her life to protecting others.

On October 7th, 2022 while responding to a call, Sidnee's patrol vehicle was struck by a driver who ran a stop sign and was later found to be under the influence. She unfortunately made the ultimate sacrifice while serving her community.

We hope this truck does more than honor her memory; in fact we hope it starts conversations.
Sidnee's story is a heartbreaking reminder of the devastating consequences of driving under the influence. One reckless decision can forever change countless lives. It is also a reminder of the dangers law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and other first responders face every day while answering the call to help complete strangers.

Sidnee’s legacy also lives on through Sidnee's Law, a Kansas law passed in her honor. In simple terms, the law strengthens how prior DUI-related convictions are counted when determining criminal history in certain serious criminal cases, including crimes involving impaired driving that results in death or serious injury to law enforcement officers. The goal is to ensure repeat impaired driving offenses are given greater weight during sentencing and to hold repeat offenders more accountable.

As a towing company, we spend countless hours working alongside law enforcement on roadways. We witness firsthand the risks they take every day, and we know how quickly tragedy can happen.

This memorial wrap is our way of ensuring Sidnee's name and sacrifice are never forgotten.
The next time you see this truck, we hope you'll remember her story. Slow down. Move over. Never drive impaired. And keep all of our first responders in your thoughts as they continue serving our communities.

Sidnee, thank you for your friendship, your service, and your sacrifice. We will never forget you.

💙 End of Watch: October 7th, 2022 💙
