These Maraging C350 DLC coated piston pins were built to mate perfectly with our customers custom pistons. This scarce steel is highly sought after for its ultimate tensile and yield strength both sitting at 350,000 psi (2400 MPa). This special set of pins will serve as the bridge for Ricky’s engine being built by Carmen . They will be posting more details soon.

Note: These DLC coated pins were scrupulously Diamond 💎 lapped before coating, and post polished to remove residual carbon—not tumbled.

All of our steel valve locks are machined (not stamped or forged), heat treated, and processed with hot black oxide for anti-corrosion. Plating valve locks is a bad idea, that commonly causes hydrogen embrittlement. Many on the market are not even heat treated.

Yes, if you ask for a specific diameter, like .9275”, we can dial all of your piston pins into the exact diameter needed. This includes DLC coated pins and knowing what size to lap them to prior to land the mark.

Seeing vintage MGB lifters from the 1950’s reborn and brought back to better than their original state is amazing. Our talented crew recrowned and diamond lapped these prior to Diamond coating. The final step is post polishing.

It doesn’t happen often, but these rare pieces can sometimes take over 12 weeks to process when there are no spares. If there is a void, the process starts over.

Too many steps to make a good piston pin. Too often unappreciated and assumed to be made from tubing. Lol
