Starts cold, dies hot, won’t restart until it cools down?
That was the complaint on this Briggs & Stratton 19HP Intek engine. After diagnosis, the issue was found to be a failed compression release, which required camshaft replacement.
This is a common failure on Briggs Intek engines, and it can mimic other problems like fuel issues, ignition issues, weak battery, bad starter, or hard cranking.
At JBS Engine Repair LLC, I don’t just guess and throw parts at it — I diagnose the issue and repair it properly.
If your mower is hard starting, stalling when hot, cranking slow, or refusing to restart after warming up, give me a call or text.
