More than just a movie car, the 1979 Chevrolet Monte Carlo became part of the legend of Training Day.
Filmed in real South Central neighborhoods, the production worked closely with real Bloods & Crips to keep the film authentic and protect the crew.

During shooting, the original Monte Carlo was stolen straight from the set.
When local OGs heard about it, they simply said:
“Don’t worry… it’ll come back.”

Less than 24 hours later, the car was returned to the exact spot — washed, polished, and shining ✨
As if nothing ever happened.

A true symbol of street respect, realism, and cinema history. 🔥🚘

The U.S. Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against the State of New Mexico and the City of Albuquerque, accusing both governments of enacting laws that interfere with federal immigration enforcement operations.

The lawsuit challenges New Mexico’s “Immigrant Safety Act” and Albuquerque’s “Safer Community Places Ordinance,” with federal officials arguing the measures unlawfully restrict cooperation with immigration authorities and limit where federal agents can operate.

The DOJ is asking a federal court to block enforcement of both measures.
