This poor Highgate suffered some damage due to rocking runflats on these wonderful Ohio roads. So much damage! So sad!!!! RUNFLATS ARE DANGEROUS!!! Get them off your MINI ASAP! I can already hear people typing away in the comments, yes it’s possible to still have this damage with a normal tire, but it’s SOOO COMMON to see this level of damage with runflats. Tires are there to absorb imperfections in the road, when you don’t have a cushion of air and you’re just riding on a big rubber donut, all of those imperfections are transmitted straight into the Mini rims, suspension and other components.
Yes a run flat might save you if you pick up a nail, but it’s more likely to strand you when it shatters your RIM!!!
