Two TTs in the same week. These are 20 plus year old cars now and they are aging into the same short list. Coil packs that get tired and start throwing misfires. Timing service that a lot of owners have lost track of entirely. Control arm bushings that let the front end wander. Hatch struts and window regulators that fail from age rather than mileage. The good news is that the platform underneath shares its bones with the Mk4 Golf, the A3, and the New Beetle, so almost nothing on one of these is unobtainable. People assume an electric Audi does not need a shop like ours. The Q4 e-tron still has brakes, suspension, cooling, and a high voltage battery thermal system that all run on a schedule. Brake fluid still absorbs moisture. Coolant still circulates, just for the battery and inverter instead of a combustion engine. Cabin filters, tires, alignment, and 12 volt battery health all still matter, and the regen braking that saves your pads can leave rotors surface rusted on a car that mostly sits in traffic. If you own a Q4 e-tron or any Audi EV, bring it somewhere that knows the platform.

This E39 540i went up on the lift for a full underside inspection. On a car this age the story is almost never in one place. Exhaust hangers stretch and let the system rest on the subframe. Control arm and thrust arm bushings soften until the front end wanders under braking. Differential and transmission pan seals weep long before they leak. Rear subframe mounts carry the abuse of every launch this car ever made. None of that shows up standing next to the car in a parking lot. If your BMW is past 100,000 miles and it has been a while since anyone looked underneath, bring it in and we will tell you exactly what's going on.

An R8 V10 Spyder does not come through every day. The 5.2 liter V10 sitting behind the seats shares its architecture with the Gallardo and the Huracan, which tells you most of what you need to know about how it gets serviced. Naturally aspirated, ten cylinders, and packaging tight enough that routine work means knowing the car before you open anything. Service intervals matter more on something like this, and so does who you hand the keys to. If you own an R8, bring it somewhere that knows the platform. Call 818-889-1245.
