Racing at Huntly International Speedway last night saw us come away with minimal damage, a straight front axle and a great time with amazing people including our giveaway winners Vicky Chilcott and David Lane.
Was such a cool result having Vicky win the Free Pass giveaway for herself and David as David Lane is actually Grandad to my good friends and fellow Huntly team mates Sam Keeling and Brad Lane…winning is in this family’s genes.
Was a privilege to spend some time with David and talk with him about days gone by. For someone I have never met before it was amazing how much we had in common and a number of small world things discovered.
The 411H car and myself came away with 1st and 2nd heat DNFs putting us off the back for the feature race.
Starting off the back I made some early race passes to end up crossing the line in 5th only to be relegated 2 spots for having a wheel over the pole line a couple times during the night. It must be because of how much I love spending time hanging out on the infield.
Also got a telling off from the officials for excessive noise…no idea why that would be 😎
