When Asher arrived from Scotland to New Zealand with his Arboriculture business Ash and Oak Arborists he brought with him his Jensen A530 tracked machine.

He started importing Jensen Woodchippers into New Zealand, and eventually started importing the smaller Peruzzo Woodchippers. Since then ALFA Contracts has grown and has some of the the larger Arboricultural companies in NZ as customers as well as smaller arborist companies getting started. Jensen can custom build a machine to suit your business and we can also source second hand machines. As ALFA has grown so as our service we offer chipper hire throughout the country and a 100% back up service. We have a wide range of spare parts in stock. JAKE builds the mounting systems that turn a standard tractor into a proper forestry rig — Finnish-engineered, three generations of it, now in New Zealand through ALFA.

But the question that matters here is simpler. A Scotsman’s verdict on Kiwi contractors: “They’ll take it to the limit.”

“Is it robust?” Fair question — and after 15 years watching Kiwi contractors work, I can answer it. They’ll take a machine to its limit. Every time. That’s not a complaint, it’s just how it is here.

This is a serious drum chipper built for biomass, forestry and whole-tree chipping work. Designed to be fed by excavator or tractor-mounted crane, it has the infeed capacity and roller system to handle bulky material reliably.
