Happy birthday to the man behind Auto Centre Johnsonville, Claud! 🎂

If you've been in to see us, chances are you've met Claud, whether he's under a bonnet, helping solve a tricky problem, or having a yarn with a customer.

As the owner, he's a big part of what makes our workshop what it is, and we're lucky to have him at the heart of our team.

Have a great birthday, Claud!

(Don’t worry team, we got him surprise cupcakes! 🧁)

We're stoked to be supporting the U11 Tawa United this season for the second time, along with Matt Salt and the Kenepuru cars panel and paint team!

And yesterday they got to show off their new kit!

Looking pretty sharp, team 👌

We're proud to be behind the local players and can't wait to see the new tops out on the pitch (we heard they caused some ripples among some of the big football academies last year).

Good luck for the season! ⚽️

Not just here to keep your wheels turning... we can keep you cool too. ❄️

We now offer A/C repairs and regassing!

If your air con isn't blowing as cold as it should, get in touch and we can get it checked out and back to keeping you cool.

Disclaimer: Please specify that you want your A/C fixed to be cool. Otherwise, Claud may assume you’re asking him to teach you how to be cool. 😎

End of the Week? Time for Your Weekly To-Do List for next week! 🚗

The weather’s not exactly playing ball, and spring has just started 🌧️🌱

So it’s the perfect time to get those little jobs sorted before (what we’re hoping will be a hot) summer arrives!

Here’s your to-do list for the week:

✅ Check your tyres - tread, pressure & overall condition
✅ Check your oil
✅ Test your battery - cold mornings can be tough on an ageing battery
✅ Check your brakes - don’t ignore squeaks or grinding
✅ Replace worn wiper blades - especially after a wet winter
✅ Check your lights - headlights, brake lights & indicators
✅ Book in those repairs you’ve been putting off! 😉

Guess we’ll be seeing you soon?

An important member of our team who you may get up close and personal with is the Courtesy Car. 🚗

She’s a Suzuki Swift and she’s here to make sure you’re not left stranded while your car is in the workshop.

Whether you’re popping in for a service, repairs or something a little more serious, she’s ready to get you where you need to go while we take care of your car.

But now she needs a name and we need your help!

Put your name suggestions in the comments below 👇

Did we say how much we appreciate all of you?

One of our staff recently went to start their car and... nothing. 😬

After a bit of help with the battery, they were back on their way to work. But there was one small problem....

They checked the battery and discovered it was from 2018.

At 8 years old, that battery had definitely earned its retirement!

Most car batteries will last around 3-5 years, although this can vary depending on the vehicle, battery and driving conditions.

So if your battery is getting up there in age, it might be worth getting it checked before it decides to take a surprise day off. 🔋 🚘

Better to replace it on your terms than wait for it to leave you stranded!

Meet the real boss of the Auto Centre Johnsonville... 🐾👑

Everyone thinks Claud is in charge, but let's be honest... it's actually Chica.

At 8 years old, this Frenchie has perfected the art of supervising from home (impressive), being the favourite employee, demanding pats, and making sure the team takes regular snack breaks (well... her snack breaks anyway).

She might not be the one holding the spanners, but she's definitely the one keeping everyone in line.

If you're lucky, you might even get to meet the boss next time you're in! 🩵
