Wellington Automotive Gearbox Specialists was established over 35 years ago by Miles Udy, and was formally known as Miles Udy Motors. As well as doing general mechanical repairs Miles Udy Motors also specialised in Gearbox Repairs. In early 2008 the business undertook a name change, and Wellington Automotive Gearbox Specialists (WAGS) was born. Wellington Automotive Gearbox Specialists is now owne
d and operated by one of its existing staff, David Jensen, and his wife Charlyene, with a team of talented staff. This has allowed them to keep the trusted service of quality gearbox, diff and transfer rebuilds and repairs, plus a full mechanical shop specializing in performance and race cars. All of which are done on site and to the highest of standards. David is a trade cert qualified automotive technician also with the internationally recognized Diploma in City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Systems, and has experience with maintaining and modifying all vehicles, including European and classic cars to his own custom drift street, track and 4wd projects. Wellington Automotive Gearbox Specialists can now offer many more services, from servicing and Warrant of fitness inspections to all performance work and complex modifications, on a whole range of vehicles.
