Another cool product came through our doors 👀 The big daddy Haltech digital dash. The uC-10.

Pretty massive, to be honest.

🔹 512MB of onboard looped logging
🔹 Runs off Haltech CAN, OBD2, or wired in completely stand alone
🔹 Plug and play with Link G4, MaxxECU, Microtech, MoTeC M1 and hundred series, and Syvecs

The box has the lot. 34P connector, 3 metre DTM4 CAN cable, USB C, mounting screws, and two momentary switches so you can scroll your functions without reaching for the screen.

WHAT DO BUMP STOPS ACTUALLY DO?

They’re one of those suspension parts you probably don’t think about until they’re missing, worn out or causing you problems.

A bump stop is essentially the suspension’s final cushion. As the suspension compresses and approaches the end of its available travel, the bump stop progressively comes into play to prevent the suspension from hitting a harsh metal-on-metal stop.

Without one, a big bump or hard compression can send a nasty shock through the shock, suspension components, mounts and chassis.

So why would you replace or upgrade them?

If your factory bump stops are cracked, perished, missing or falling apart, they’re due for replacement. This is particularly common on older cars where the original rubber or foam has had decades of use.

They can also become important when you lower a car or change the suspension setup. Lowering reduces the amount of available suspension travel, and an oversized factory bump stop can sometimes be contacted much earlier than intended. That can make the car feel harsh and effectively increase the spring rate once you’re riding on the bump stops.

An appropriately sized shorter or performance bump stop can help retain usable suspension travel while still protecting everything when you reach full compression.

Bump stops aren’t just emergency protection either. On many performance suspension setups, they’re designed to work progressively as part of the suspension, adding resistance as the suspension gets deeper into its travel.

Whether you’re refreshing tired factory suspension, lowering your car, building something for the track or putting together a custom suspension setup, don’t overlook the humble bump stop.

Nate’s old STI hatch sitting absolutely slammed on one of our TSD Performance Air Bag Kits.

Such a good example of just how good an STI hatch can look on air — park it on the ground when you want the stance, then air it back up when it’s time to actually drive it.

Still a shame he sold this one… reckon he regrets it yet? 😂

Trying to get a leaf-sprung car to actually HOOK? Meet CalTracs.

Calvert Racing CalTracs are a bolt-on traction bar system designed specifically for leaf-spring rear suspension. Under hard acceleration, a conventional leaf spring can twist or “wrap up”, leading to wheel hop, inconsistent launches and wasted power.

CalTracs control that axle rotation and transfer the force back through the suspension, helping plant the rear tyres harder into the ground.
