We are continuing to prototype and test our customised finaldrive attachment for auger and stump planing attachments.
Our high torque gearbox has enabled us to make a universal vertical drive with enough grunt to plane stubborn stumps as well as boring post holes.

Extensive testing on a variety of different trees has proven successful on a Yanmar VIO25-6 but the goal is to get the same performance as what you see here, on a smaller excavator.

We're on the hunt for someone with a late model mini digger in the Bay of Plenty or Waikato region that we could fit this attachment on to for testing.

Yet another unfortunate customer we've had to help out who has experienced the reason why finaldrives aren't a one size fits all component.
Colin was supplied a knockoff Chinese finaldrive from a different company in NZ, both him and the supplier learnt after install that it wasn't fit for purpose and was tracking 35% slower to the OEM Hydash Finaldrive.

Faced with the refusal of a refund, (illegal and immoral), another 6 week seafreight delay, and no guarantee from the other company that the second finaldrive will track straight, TMD drove to Whangamata and fitted a Japanese finaldrive and matched it to the OEM Hydash finaldrive output torque. Problem solved quickly and correctly.

In the end it turns out we were only another $800 to get the right speed and a huge 5 year warranty compared to the other company.

Track off of this magnitude is not only annoying but unsafe, and unnecessary if you know what you're doing and what you're selling.

It's not all about matching bolt patterns and the cheapest price. Don't be fooled by online marketing claiming you need to replace both finaldrives to make old diggers track straight. Just come to the right people at TMD, with the experience and proven track record to get the job done.

Hopefully the company involved will do the right thing and give Colin and his wife his money back so he can pay us, but in the meantime at least he can get his orchard work done, can't put a price on a smile! Thanks for the Avo's !
