🤯🚛 HOW CAN STEERING OIL HELP STOP A TRUCK?!

Did you know hydraulic pressure from the power steering system can also assist the braking system on some trucks? ⚙️🔥

The power steering pump generates hydraulic pressure, which can be used by a hydraulic brake-assist system to help reduce the effort needed to press the brake pedal.

💡 Important: The exact operation depends on the truck’s brake system design. Not all heavy trucks use power steering oil for brake assistance.

Pre-Lubing a Heavy Truck Engine Before Start 🚛🔧

Why is pre-lubing important after an engine rebuild or major repair?

Before the engine starts, pre-lubing helps circulate engine oil through the lubrication system and build oil pressure, so critical components such as the main bearings, big-end bearings, camshaft and other moving parts receive lubrication before the engine begins running.

❌ What happens if we start without pre-lubing?
The engine may run for a short time with insufficient oil reaching some components. This can cause dry friction, premature wear, bearing damage, and in serious cases, major engine failure.

✅ Pre-lube first — build oil pressure — then start the engine.

A small step that can help protect a rebuilt engine. 🔧🚛

Oil Light Blinking ⚠️ — Diagnosis Continues 🔧

In the previous video, we started investigating why the engine oil warning light blinks on the dashboard while driving.

Now, we’re checking the actual engine oil pressure using a pressure gauge to find out what is really happening.

We’re not stopping at replacing the oil pressure switch — we need to confirm the real oil pressure and continue checking for the cause of the warning light.

🔧 Fuso Canter 4P10 — Oil Warning Fault Diagnosis

The customer’s complaint was that when driving uphill, the engine oil warning light suddenly started blinking when the truck reached the end of the hill and came onto a flat road.

I started diagnosing the fault and replaced the engine oil pressure switch, but the problem was still there.

So the diagnosis continues — now I need to find out why the oil warning is still coming on and identify the real cause of the fault. 🔍🔧

Fuso Rosa 4M50 Engine – Piston Projection & Head Gasket Selection

In this video, I’m showing how we check piston projection before selecting the cylinder head gasket.

First, we accurately measure how far each piston projects above the cylinder block. This measurement is important because the piston projection determines the appropriate head gasket thickness/type.

Next, we visually inspect the gasket and check its identification marks/notches to determine the gasket type. We then compare the piston projection measurement with the gasket identification to select the correct gasket for the engine.

Correct measurement and correct gasket selection are important for proper piston-to-cylinder-head clearance, compression, and reliable engine operation.

Correct clearance is important for proper valve operation, engine performance, and preventing unnecessary wear. 🔧⚙️
