MINISTOCK GIRLS CHALLANGE

Over the weekend, we traveled to Waharoa for their opening meeting.The girls showed enthusiasm for participating in the Girls Ministock Challenge. Due to having two cars in the same group, we were unable to monitor their finishing positions accurately. In Race 1, Ella Coxhead experienced a snapped driveshaft off the start, leading to a DNF. We decided to watch from the bank, assuming that concluded the event. Nevertheless, the Peat-Bennett Motorsport team and the Layne Family successfully sourced spare parts and repaired the car in time for the next race. We appreciate their assistance. Both girls displayed commendable driving skills, racing aggressively and swiftly. This exposure will undoubtedly prepare them for the forthcoming season. Ella managed to secure the lead with a substantial gap. Ultimately, Ella secured fifth place overall, with Paige finishing sixth. Although the weekend did not unfold as anticipated, it highlighted the significance of consistency.

Ready for round two GTRNZ at Taupo Motorsport park 🤙🤙

Today we saw Paige Coxhead 21r start her race season in Waharoa. She raced extremely well from the minute the flag dropped.

Race 1 she started at the back finished 2nd in C grade.

Race 2 she was told she needed to move up to B grade and run off the back.
Paige started 10th in this race and quickly made her way through the pack to finish in 4th.

Race 3 she ran off the back again grid 10. She got a good jump off the start but then lost positions trying to find 2nd gear. She then caught the pack and made a few passes coming home 7th.

She came out the gate today with all guns firing!
Cant wait to see what this kid brings this season.

After what seems an eternity, it is the 2024/2025 Season opening night this Friday at TWS Paradise Valley Speedway, Rotorua. With it being opening night that means fireworks and this season the Motion Entertainmant Fireworks Extravaganza will once again be a must see.
