Long before Rent Me Rentals had a second location here, Levin was home for both of us.

We’re Derek and Marcia, the owners of Rent Me Rentals. We both grew up in Levin, our families have strong ties here, and over the years there have been plenty of trips back and forth.

So when we started thinking about where Rent Me Rentals might go next, Levin just made sense.

Rent Me Rentals has been part of the Kāpiti Coast for more than 30 years, starting with one van outside a car yard and slowly growing into the fleet you see today.

We took over the business in 2018, and Paraparaumu is still very much home. But now we get to add another chapter, right back where our own stories started.

We’re starting small in Levin, with trucks and 12-seater vans available locally, plus work vans and car rentals available on request.

The secret’s out… we’re now in Levin!

You can now hire selected trucks and 12-seater vans from our new Levin location at 15 Bruce Road.

Our Kāpiti depot isn’t going anywhere. We’re simply making it a whole lot easier for our Horowhenua customers to hire closer to home.

Our Levin yard works a little differently. It’s an unattended location, so bookings are essential, but don’t worry, we’re not just leaving you to figure it out! Someone from the Rent Me team will meet you there for your pick-up and return.

For now, you’ll find:
🚚 Trucks, including our $99 half-day hire option
🚐 12-seater vans
🚐 Work vans available on request
🚗 Cars may also be available for bookings of 3+ days

It’s something we’ve been working away on behind the scenes, and we’re pretty excited to finally share it with you. 💙

Looks like everyone’s got plans this weekend… 👀

The Friday line-up is looking pretty good.

Cleaned, checked and ready to head off tomorrow morning to wherever the weekend takes them.

There’s something quite satisfying about seeing them all lined up like this… although it never lasts very long. 😂

We’ve still got a little availability across the fleet this weekend too, so if you’ve got something planned, give us a bell.

For now, we’ll enjoy having everyone in the same place before they all head off in different directions tomorrow. 🚗🚐🚚

99 days until Christmas. Sorry, WHAT?!

It feels like we’ve got plenty of year left… until you realise there’s only one long weekend between now and Christmas. 😳

Which means all those jobs you’ve been saying you’ll “definitely get to before Christmas” are starting to run out of weekends. 😂

👉The garage clear-out.
👉The tip run.
👉The spare room that’s become a storage unit.
👉That pile of stuff you’ve been strategically walking past for the last six months…

Maybe this is your sign to pick a weekend, rope in a few helpers and get it sorted before December-you has enough going on.

And if it’s a bigger job than the back of the car can handle, our trucks Huey, Dewey & Louie are just $149 for the day. Or if you’ve REALLY been putting things off, there’s always Donald, our big 20m³ truck, $239 a day until 31 October.

Some will be moving houses. Some will be tackling the spring clear-out. And we’re willing to bet at least one is about to make someone question just how much stuff they actually own. 😂

Spring has officially arrived… and apparently so has the urge to clear out everything. 👀

The garage. The garden. The spare room. All those jobs that were very easy to ignore over winter suddenly seem a little harder to walk past.

So, if your spring clean-out is looking like a big one, Donald is currently $239/day.

He’s our 20m³ truck, so there’s plenty of room for the jobs that have grown well beyond “a quick trip to the tip”.

And a little nod to Huey, Dewey & Louie too 👋 If you don’t need quite that much truck, our smaller 10–12m³ trucks are currently $149/day.

Both spring offers are running until 31 October 2026.

100km included per 24-hour hire. T&Cs apply. Subject to availability.
