At our AGM last Wednesday night we also said a massive big THANK YOU to Heather Clyma. Heather has been the clubs secretary for the past 7 years, which she poured her heart and sole into. She decided that this was her year to retire from her position and fully enjoy her retirement. While in her secretary role, she went above and beyond, working timelessly behind the scenes. A lot of changes have happened during her time, but all in all she has played a big part into making the club into what it is today.
Heather will still be a very active member in the club. We all hope you enjoy your full retirement Heather.

Life Membership 🏆;
Kevin Smith was granted Life Membership to New Plymouth Rodders Inc. at the Club’s AGM on Wednesday night.
Bit of trip down history lane; Kevin was a key component in the refurbishment of the newly purchased building on De Haviland Drive which served as our clubrooms from the mid 1980’s until the mid 2000’s. Later whilst working offshore, he still attended as many club events as he could and had a succession of cars including his restored ’34 sedan, a mid 50’s Mercury sedan, followed by his current ’56 Nomad when their twins arrived, and now the ’36 Ford 3 window coupe. Kevin served as President for 3 years through some difficult times for the Club and has also remained on the executive Committee for the last 7 years after that. He and Judy represent us well at many many hot rod events including the National Show in Hawera and one day shows and rod runs nationwide. The coupe has been featured in New Zealand Hot rod Magazine twice now and they are regular attendees at most fish ‘n chip nights and the recent Stefan Topless Memorial Run. The unanimous vote by the current members confirmed that this honour is well deserved.

Wow… where do I even begin?

A massive thank you to every single person who came along to yesterday’s run in memory of Stefan. Seeing so many of you take the time to travel, bring your vehicles, and be part of such a special day meant more than words can say.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the clues, and to everyone who came along to share stories, laughter, and memories. Your support helped make the day such a success, and it meant the world to us.

A special thank you to the Urenui Hotel for hosting us and looking after everyone. We truly appreciate your wonderful hospitality and your generous prize donations.

It was so special to see everyone enjoying themselves, sharing stories, laughing together, and remembering Stefan. He would have absolutely loved seeing everyone out on the road.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us honour Stefan’s memory in such a meaningful way. The love and support shown by everyone will never be forgotten.
