There's something different about working on a vintage engine.
The tolerances are often looser.
The parts are harder to source.
The history is irreplaceable.

We've had a a number of classics in the workshop this season - one of those engines that's been running for decades and was showing every one of them. Bores worn well beyond spec, head badly carboned up, bearings shot.

We don't treat it any differently to a modern engine - if anything, we take more time because the margin for error on a vintage unit is smaller and replacement parts aren't just a catalogue call away.

Classic vehicle owners - we're set up for this kind of work and we enjoy it.

Don't let age be the reason something gets scrapped.
