Singh Motors Detailing is a high-end automotive detailing and ceramic clear coat application business based in Invercargill and servicing the wider Southland region. We specialise in premium and luxury vehicles and are known for delivering exceptional quality and attention to detail.
We are currently seeking an experienced PPF (Paint protection film) and Protective Coating & Surface Detailing Specialist to join our team.

Role Overview
You will be responsible for all surface detailing and protective coating applications across a wide range of vehicles and surfaces, including cars, trucks, caravans, boats, planes, helicopters, and motorcycles. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to the highest standards of finish.

Key Responsibilities
• Inspect and prep vehicle paintwork prior to film installation (cleaning, decontamination, correction where needed).
• Confident with both pre-cut kits and bulk installs.
• Install PPF to a high standard on full vehicles and partial coverage packages.
• Determine the most suitable products and application methods for each job
• Thorough washing and preparation of surfaces to an exceptional standard
• Removal of imperfections including rough spots, water spots, stains, and scratches
• Buffing, polishing, sanding, and masking of non-coated areas
• Application of primers and finishing coats using mini-jet spray guns
• Final finishing treatments including waxing and polishing
• Rust-proofing treatment of wheels and exhaust systems
• Expert application of window tinting
• Supervision and training in Automotive and Marine polishing, Tractor polishing, Caravans/Motorhome Polishing, paint correction, and gel coat correction techniques
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe.

Skills & Experience Required
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in protective coating application and vehicle detailing
• Proven experience working with high-end and luxury vehicles (e.g. Porsche, Maserati, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini)
• Experience with PPF, window tint, or vinyl wrapping is often required; plotter operation experience is a plus beneficial
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, correction techniques, and coating systems
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to handle challenges like film stretching and complex curves.
• Good communication.
• Ability to drive various vehicles (manual/automatic) may be needed.

Additional Requirements
• New Zealand citizen or holder of a Residence Class Visa
• Ability to Pass drug test and New Zealand Police Check
• Full clean Driving Licence
• Highly organised, efficient, and punctual
• Competent and safe with a wide range of power tools
• Ability to lift 15-20kg
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude
